The bell had rung, signaling that the second half of Economics class was finally over. And a chorus of relief sighs flooded the classroom as the professor wrapped up his discussion, not bothering to leave any additional work to the students.
Ayeon took her time gathering and fixing her stuff back inside her vinyl tote bag while the other students quickly left the room until she was the only one left.
Someone cleared their throat and caught the young woman's attention. Her eyes swiftly shifted to the front door and her lips curled upwards into a smile. But within a second, it morphed into disgust, wanting to tease the boy.
There she saw Hyuck who was leaning on the door frame, crossing his arms and looking back at her through his lashes. He slowly raised an eyebrow at her while he cocked his head to the side a bit.
The expression on his face was all it took that made Ayeon's actions pick up the pace and bounce towards the boy who had been running on her mind in the past few weeks.
Upon reaching the spot in front of him, Ayeon opened her arms and engulfed him in a hug.
Honestly, Hyuck was taken aback as he certainly didn't expect that reaction from her. "Ayeon getting braver each day, I see." He commented, amused, letting his arms wrap over her small tiny frame to which the girl chuckled. "I never knew you were the touchy type." Hyuck teased while Ayeon groaned and pushed him back.
The two freshmen stood there. "I've been waiting for you for like half an hour here outside your room and then you'll pack your stuff at a turtle's pace? Imagine how tired I am standing outside. Perhaps you wouldn't even come out if I haven't cleared my throat." He complained as his lips pouted from time to time which caused Ayeon to giggle and pinch his cheeks afterwards.
"Who even told you to wait for me? And why were you already outside 30 minutes ago when I know your class ends at the same time as mine?" She questioned, her hands on her hip while the other one poked his chest.
"Chill out, shorty!" Hyuck raised his arms in defense, taking a step backwards. "I didn't cut. Our professor dismissed our class early, okay?"
Ayeon squinted her eyes at him before eventually smiling. "Okay, I believe you." She said cheerfully and Hyuck ruffled her hair in response, messing it up lightly before grabbing her arm and linking it with his.
"Where are we going?" Ayeon questioned curiously as she glanced at him through the side of her eyes, tilting her head.
"Yeah, where are we going?" A cheerful voice had joined in and inserted their head between Ayeon and Hyuck's, surprising the new couple.
"Na Jaemin!" The two shrieked in chorus, jumping backwards in surprise. Hyuck inhaled and pinched the bridge of his nose, causing Jaemin to release a laugh. "We're going to my place." Hyuck announced.
Ayeon's eyes shifted to Hyuck in a blaze, "We are going to your place?" She asked in bewilderment.
"Cool." Jaemin commented and was about to walk giggly. "Let's go then."
"We're gonna make out." Donghyuck spat out bluntly which caused Ayeon's eyes to widen.
"We're gonna make out?" She questioned, waiting for Hyuck's response. "Yes, we're gonna make out." The boy repeated, nodding at her.
Ayeon caught on what Hyuck was trying to do and gazed back to Jaemin who was eyeing them cheerfully. "Yes, we're gonna make out." Ayeon nodded as she echoed Hyuck's statement, a hint of uncertainty laced in her voice.
"Okay, cool. I'll watch." Jaemin shrugged like it was nothing. It was more of him teasing them in a way.
"No, Jaemin. We don't want an audience." Hyuck sighed, rubbing his temple while inhaling through his nose.
