Kageyama POV
'Are you avoiding me?'

I had to ask.
I wanted to know what I did wrong.

He froze up and looked at me nervously.

He waved his arms around and shook his head, and his face had gone completely pink.

'Why would you think that?"

I didn't know how to respond in JSL so I just said it, explaining to him how he was acting weird and wasn't talking to me.

He looked at me and bounced his leg anxiously.

Sorry! he mouthed 'I've had a lot on my mind!'

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Did I get too close the other day?" I say, bluntly, knowing he can read his lips.

He widens his eyes and steps back a little.

I sighed sadly.
So I was right.

He however, shook his head and wrote on his hand, 'It's not that at all!'

I didn't believe him.

"Then what is it?"

He nervously rubbed the back of his head.

Damn it.
Answer me damn it!

He wasn't even trying to find words.
He was trying to run away from it.

My anger shifted from myself to him.

Talk to me!

I scoffed at him, screaming:

"Fine!"
He seemed a little scared and flinched real hard.
"I get it! You could've just told me!"

I could tell he wanted to tell me something, but he just sort of looked up at me.

"Whatever" I mumble, turning around and taking the turn that we both separate at.

I could hear him trying to catch up with me, but by the time I turned around, he was so far away I couldn't even see him.

Hinata POV
"Fine!" he shouted.

I almost fell over and I gulped back tears.

The only person who's ever had that expression when shouting at me was my mother.

I couldn't hear him, but just looking at him reminded me of her.

"You could've just told me!"

I saw him mumble something under his breath, but I couldn't make it out.

I wanted to do something.

To talk to him?
To lunge at him?
To cry to him?

But I couldn't.
I was too scared.
Scared that if I even moved an inch he would shout at me again.

I managed to move a little however, to try and catch up with him as he walked away, but ended up falling to my knees when I realised he was leaving for good.

I held back tears, and whispered hoarsely "Don't leave"

He didn't hear.
He kept walking, looking straight ahead.

"Come back"

————————————————————————

After I'd manage to catch my breath and pick myself up, I sadly walked home by myself.

"I'm home" I said to the house in an attempt to make my mother happy.

Someone might as well me.

She comes out of her room and smiles at me as I take my shoes off.

I don't have it in me to smile at her.
I look past her and go straight to my room.

I can feel her staring at me, but I wasn't in the mood to face her.

I plonked down on my bed and covered my face.

I felt more than just upset.
I felt sick.

I could tell by body was really warm, but I felt so cold it could've been snowing.

I couldn't breath as well as I wanted to, and I felt like I wanted to throw up.

Without moving, I closed my eyes, hoping that I would make me feel better.

I ended up falling into an uncomfortable, sick rest.

Kageyama POV
I couldn't sleep.
It was already 2:24am and I hadn't slept a wink.

I was still thinking about our argument.

But it's not what he did that kept me up.
It was what I did.

I was delusional from not resting.
What did I do again?

I asked him why he was avoiding me.
I got mad at him.
I shouted at him...

Oh no I shouted at him.

I sprung myself up, panting when I remembered what I did.

Why did I do that?
Why did he look so scared?

My anxiety grew as I connected the dots, and I hit my head against my pillow when I realised what I did.

When I realised what he was thinking.

How could I come back from that?
I didn't even let him explain himself!
But I was too blinded in anger to see it.

But why didn't he catch up to me?
He's fast enough to do it, isn't he?

I lay back onto my bed, exhausted from thinking too hard.

I don't know what else to do but to apologise.

I had an urge to walk over to his house right then and there, but I ended up falling into an uneasy sleep.

As I fell asleep, I heard myself subconsciously mumble:

"Don't go.... Come back to me"
