Kageyama POV
Walking to the station, I could feel him looking at me happily.
I tried not to look back, practically turning red and looking away.
He giggled at me.
He payed for his ticket and I payed for mine, and we waited at the crowded platform.
It was way too packed for a weekday afternoon, but counting up the kids on school trips, day shifters and workers, I'd say it's way too easy to get lost here.
Hinata was still at my side looking at people, probably trying to read their lips to keep himself entertained.
The train was coming in another two minutes.
Hinata nudged my hand, and pointed a little further down the platform signing, 'Maybe we should move down to get a better seat'
I nodded.
Every step was another bump on the shoulder. I narrowed my eyes at the people while Hinata bowed his head slightly and apologised.
I told him that we should just stay where we were as to not get lost, but he obviously couldn't hear me and just kept walking.
I looked over to the train when it pulled up.
I went to tap Hinata on the shoulder, but what I tapped wasn't a person.
What I tapped was just thin air.
Something was wrong.
Hinata was gone.
I looked around desperately.
Where was he?
Did he leave?
Did someone take him?
Nah, I was probably just being paranoid.
"Hinata?!" I called, still looking around.
Of course I got some strange looks but I didn't care.
"Oi, Hinata! Where are-"
Oh shit.
Even if I did call,
He can't even hear me.
Hinata POV
With Kageyama behind me, I continued walking down the platform.
I didn't like the crowd, and down here there was less people.
As I approached the end however, I saw people moving the opposite direction.
I turned to my side, realising I'd gone a little too far.
Turning around I signed, 'Come on Kageyama, let's go-'
But I stopped when I realised there was no one behind me.
Where is he?
I swear he was right behind me?
I looked around.
He wasn't in front of me?
He wasn't at my side?
He was probably still behind me, but in the crowd of people I probably couldn't even make myself out.
I started to panic more and more as people bumped my shoulders.
They were moving the opposite direction since the train was there.
I tried to speak but nothing came out, with all of the stress I was feeling I could barely make out my thoughts.
I stood there for what felt like forever, but in an instant, something happened.
Something amazing.
It was only briefly, and very quiet, and honestly I could barely make it out, but I could have sworn I actually heard something.
"Hinata!"
I turned around, and in front of me was Kageyama, who looked like he was panting.
I looked up at him, shocked and confused, not from getting lost, but from what I heard.
I heard something...!
'You okay?' he mouths.
Before I get a chance to say anything, I see the train doors almost closing.
I grab him by the hand, and pull him into the train, just in time for it not to close.
In an instant the doors shut and the train starts moving, and we look at each other with different expressions.
'Thanks' he mouths, and gently tries to let go of my hand.
I grip it tighter however, and shake my head.
Getting lost like that spooked me more than I thought it would.
He smiles at me, and holds my hand back.
I was still thinking about what happened on the platform however.
It's not like I've never heard anything ever, when I was super young I had bad hearing but I could still hear for about a year or two.
That was a long time ago though, and now it just feels like I sort of imagined it back then.
But I didn't imagine what happened a few minutes ago.
I heard someone say my name.
I didn't know who it was, but the voice was deep and cool.
Maybe it was... Kageyamas?
I shook my head.
No it couldn't have been.
I've never even heard his voice before so it couldn't have been.
I look up at him, and my thoughts get completely shut out when I see his face.
When he relaxes it, it's so pretty.
It's not an angry expression like it usually is, but rather just a blank one.
It's kind cute.
He looks at me and meets my eye. I look away quickly.
I can feel him smiling at me, but I continue to look at the floor.
We ride until the city, where he yoinks my hand and takes me off the train.
He smiles at me.
'you ready to go?'
We get a date next chapter, yay! I've already written down my ideas and I know how this story is going to continue and end. I so appreciate all of the support and if it wasn't for you guys I definitely would have given up on this. I love you all so much.
Stay safe!
