The sound of metal scraping against something wakes me from my slumber. I reach out for Ezra only to feel the cold sheets next to me. With a groan I sit up, looking for any sign of his whereabouts only to come up short.

I grab my new phone that Brody brought me last night, and text Ezra to see where he is.

'Are you here?' I text Ezra. Getting out of bed, I go into the bathroom and search through the draws until I found a toothbrush. My phone begins to ring. Ezra's name flashes across the screen. I answer, putting it on speaker saying a quick 'Hello'.

"Hey, I'll be back in a couple of hours. I don't want you to be scared, so I have a few guys over to the watch over you." Ezra shouts over the sounds around him.

"Okay. Quick question, do you have an extra toothbrush?" I ask.

"In the bathroom, the third draw on the left. And Sunny?" Ezra calls.

"Yes?" Right where Ezra told me, lays an unopened pack of toothbrushes.

"Make sure you put on clothes before you step out of the room." Ezra growls out. "Put on something of mine and I'll take you shopping when I get there." The sound of cars passing by makes it sound like he's in the city.

"Yes, Sir." I answer, prepping my toothbrush.

"Give me until three and I'll be home to take you ou-." Someone calls Ezra's name cutting him off. "Sunny be ready at 3. I gotta go." I could hear Ezra shuffling around.

"Okay. See you later." I say before hanging up. I finish up in the bathroom and search through Ezra's closet for something else to wear. Pulling out a pair of grey sweatpants, I throw them on and head down to the kitchen to find something to eat.

Before I could open the door to the refrigerator someone clears their throat, leaving me jumping out of my own skin. Turning towards the source of the sound, I find a very big scary lumberjack stands. My hands fly over my chest, one on top of the other slowly rubbing my chest trying to calm my racing heart.

"Don't scare people like that." My voice comes out a little shakey.

"Sorry, Ms.Royal. I did not mean to scare you. Mr.Royal wanted me to make you some breakfast. What would you like?" He says walking over to the sink. This big tuff guy is supposed to be the cook? Okay, that's new.

"I'm sorry you but must got me confused with someone else. I'm Summer Wylde but you can call me Summer." An awkward laugh escapes my lips.

"Ms.Royal." Mr.Lumberjack pauses as he walks towards the sink before turning on the water to watch his hands. "Is there anything specific that you would like for breakfast?" He says ignoring what I just said.

"Summer. I would love some pancakes and bacon." My mouth waters at the thought of it. "Can I help?" I ask.

"No but you can study. I already set your books up on the table over there." Mr.Lumberjack says pointing over to the little breakfast table by the windows.

"Fine Mr.Lumberjack." I grunt out walking over to the table on the other side of the kitchen.

"Miles by the way." He says pulling milk and eggs out of the fridge placing them on the counter.

"Miles the lumberjack got it." Sitting down at the table, I crack open my Early Development textbook. Miles walks over to me with a clear bowl with grapes in hand.

"Snack on these and I'll have your pancakes ready in twenty minutes." Miles places the bowl down on the table.

"I think this the start of a great friendship." I sigh, popping a grape into my mouth.
