The sun was peeking over the horizon, allowing fresh light to creep into Jotaro and Kakyoin's room. Jotaro was the first to wake up, sitting up and stretching his tired bones. They were both off of work, and about to enjoy the day ahead. The black haired male was about to nudge the redhead to wake up, but decided not to.
I'm going to make him breakfast! Jotaro thought, getting up from the bed. He kissed his lover on the forehead and went to go make something simple. He wasn't really the best of cooks, but some of the stuff he makes is edible. Just some of it. He entered the kitchen and shuffled through the cabinets. He found a pancake mix. Simple enough.
Jotaro then started making the pancakes, following the instructions on the box. He made a bit of a mess, but it was fine. He made two plates of pancakes and took them back to the bedroom, along with a small bowl of cherries.
Jotaro entered the room, only to find Kakyoin curled up against one of the pillows. He sets the plates on the side table and nudges his lover awake. Kakyoin releases a little hiccup, which happened every time he woke up, and Jotaro it found adorable.
"Morning, Nori." Jotaro smiles as Kakyoin rubs his eyes.
"Mmph, morning." Kakyoin's voice was groggy from sleep. He stretched, then watched as Jotaro handed him his food.
"I made pancakes." Jotaro says. Kakyoin takes the plate from him, a bit nervous. The last time Jotaro made food, he made a huge mess. And it was only cereal! Kakyoin cut a chunk from the pancakes with his fork, then slowly put it in his mouth. His eyes widened, then he spit it out. It tasted disgusting!
"What happened with your pancakes? They taste like death!" Kakyoin said, stealing one of the cherries from the bowl. Jotaro just laughed, knowing that his cooking was almost never edible.
"Why don't we make something more edible, then?" Jotaro kissed his lover's forehead, and then they were off to make a better, more edible, breakfast.
