My Hot Ice Prince (Todoroki x reader)

Chapter 2

All Might gives the order to start the exercise, Midoriya looks back at me and I nod, he runs to get Kacchan's attention, he absolutely cannot enter here.

I start hearing footsteps, it's only one person though, and it's too calm to be my brother so I guess Midoriya really managed to distract him, which means this is Todoroki. I grab my sword and hold it in front of me, I've no idea how he fights but I do know that he is bad news, I saw him use his frozen quirk on our first day, still I just need to scratch him with my sword so I can blind him, after I do that, we can win.

He enters the room and I see him, he is not even trying to hide, he freezes the entire floor right away like I thought he would, so I jump above the ice to avoid being frozen, as I land, I use his ice to slide through it and make me move faster, I swing my sword several times trying to scratch him but everytime I get too close, he makes an ice barrier to block my sword so I can't hit him.

Well it's fine if I can't scratch him, I just need to stall until it's time for the exercise to end. I keep trying to use his attack to my advantage, sliding on the ice allows me to move faster, but still not fast enough to scratch him and win this fight. He looks emotionless as he fights and I've no idea what's going on through his head, but that only makes me even more excited, I smirk and keep swinging my sword at him, he looks surprised for a second but his poker face comes back on right away.

He is good, I don't know how much longer I can stall him, and I also can't scratch and blind him, I need another plan, think Y/n think.

He suddenly sends an ice attack at me, I try to cut it in half with my sword but it still hits my shoulder and makes me fall, as I do, I drop my sword. Dammit this is really cold, it hurts. I try to crawl towards my sword but he kicks it away and ducks next to me.

"You fought well Y/n, sorry to have hurt you."

He is right next to me, if I touch him I can use my quirk, but without my sword I can't control my darkness. I look at him in silence as he looks at me, I won't use it, it's not safe.

"Y/N!!!" I see my brother run in the room and send an explosion towards me.

I can't move because of the ice on my body and I don't have time for it anyway, the only thing I can do is cover my eyes, but before I do, I see Todoroki shield us both with his ice.

Once the flames go away, Todoroki looks at me and then speaks to Kacchan "You didn't have to do that."

"I did what I had to to make sure we won" he touches the nuclear weapon and All Might says the hero team won, which means Midoriya and I lost.

"She wasn't a threat anymore, she was immobilized."

"What's your problem half half? You're the one that actually landed a hit on her, besides, she is not weak" he then turns to me "I saw the look in your eyes Y/n, don't ever think about that power again" he leaves the room and doesn't look back.

I manage to sit on the ground and Todoroki comes towards me and rests his left hand on my shoulder, the ice somehow starts melting and I feel so warm and comfortable "How did you do that? How is your hand so warm when your quirk is frozen?" I ask as I enjoy the sensation.

He looks at me and stays silent for a while, like he doesn't know if he should answer me or not, but he ends up speaking "I have 2 quirks, fire on my left side and ice on my right" he explains.

I want to ask more about his fire quirk and why we never saw him use it, but I don't want to push my luck "It's funny" I say.

"What is?" he asks.
