-y/n's pov- so it's mine and my bestfriend tessa's senior year of high school. we've lived in dallas our whole lives, but after we graduate we plan on, hopefully, both attending UCLA in california next fall! we'll always love dallas... but we've both grown to love LA just a bit more.
we go out every summer to visit LA, but more importantly to visit our childhood bestfriend... zach herron. zach has been our bestfriend since kindergarten and he went to the same school with us up until he dropped out to persue his music career. we hated not getting to finish high school with him... but we didn't mind getting to go visit him every summer in LA or tag along on a few tour stops.
school wasn't over quite yet for us... but spring break was this week and we had BIG plans! we decided we didn't want to just go to the beach and party with our class... we'd rather go hang out with zach and all our LA friends. so we all decided to go to Finland to go see the northern lights and have fun in the snow since we're all so used to the heat and sun.
today was the day we were leaving, tessa and i drove up to LA 2 days ago and now we're about to catch our plane to finland. "i'm so excited to play in the snow, and just imagine how romantic it'll be watching the northern lights!" tessa said excitedly "yeah so you can go watch them with daniel" i teased her.
tessa's had a slightly large crush on daniel since zach introduced us to him years ago. nothing's ever happened between them... but i honestly think daniel likes her just as much as she likes him. i guess they just need a nudge in the right direction. "hey shh, i don't want him to hear you!" she whisper yelled at me, causing me to laugh. "hmm i've got an idea" i exclaimed. i grabbed tessa's ticket and ran off to find zach.
i finally found him arm wrestling corbyn when i interrupted them "zach give me your ticket!" i demanded "why?" he asks "just trust me!" i said and he handed over his ticket. i handed him tessa's and headed back to give her zach's. "wait what? this isn't my ticket, i'm supposed to sit beside you?" she asked, confused. "i know but now you're sitting by daniel... you're welcome" i said with a wink.
she tried to protest, but eventually smiled and thanked me. we finally got seated on the plane, me right next to zach. i kept looking back at tessa and daniel, to which things seemed to be going well, when zach tapped my shoulder. "so why the seat swap?" zach asks me confused "ugh come on zach keep up... i'm trying to get tess and daniel together!" i said "wait tess likes daniel?" he asked. i rolled my eyes and slapped my hand onto my forehead... "boys are so clueless"
