-y/n's pov- zach walked up to me, handed me the rose, and then walked me over to a table set up in front of the fireplace in the living room. "zach what's all this, and where's everyone else" i said still shocked "well since i'm not supposed to be in the cold from my hands still being frostbitten... i had to make due with what i could. everyone helped me set this all up and they all left the cabin for a few hours so we could have our date" he said nervously.
"zach this is amazing, i wouldn't have wanted our first date to happen any other way" i said grabbing his hand across the table, reassuring him that i loved what he did for me. we sat and talked as we ate the food that jonah had apparently helped zach cook for us... which was amazing by the way. after we ate we made our way back to the igloo room to look at the northern lights, our favorite thing to do this trip.
we laid down on the bed and i cuddled up next to zach as we watched the lights dance in the sky. "zach... thank you" i said "for what?" he asked confused. i sat up and turned to look at him "for everything really... for saving me in the snow, for the amazing date tonight, and for always being my bestfriend no matter what. i love you zach" i said, and he was quiet for a second... as if he was thinking.
then he sat up, put his hand on my leg, and looked me straight in my eyes "y/n you know i'm always here for you... and i've loved you for a long time, i was just too afraid i'd ruin our friendship if i said something. but i'm done worrying about stuff like that... and that's why i wanna ask you... y/n will you be my girlfriend?" he said confidently with a big smile on his face.
i didn't even anwser, i just threw my arms around his neck hugging him tightly and crashed my lips onto his. a grin appeared on his face as we kissed and he slightly pulled away "i'll take that as a yes?" he said with a laugh and i shook my head yes, then he kissed me again. we laid there watching the stars and lights until we fell asleep again.
𝙣𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙮 today was the day we were leaving to head back to LA. we were originally supposed to stay a few days longer but with zach's hands being injured we decided we'd head back a little sooner. i woke up super early because i didn't get the chance to pack last night, so i woke zach up and we both went to go pack before we had to head to the airport.
when i got to my room tessa was wide awake and i filled her in on all that had happened last night. she was ecstatic for me and we were both going on about how amazing this trip had been... i mean who would've thought tessa and i both would come back with boyfriends? not us.
we all finally made it to the airport and boarded the plane. when the plane took off and we all got settled in i snuggled myself into the side of zach and he smiled down at me before kissing my forehead. i slept the whole plane ride, and when we got back to LA we were all exhausted and crashed at the boys' house. it's crazy how different things were the last time we were in this house.
