Book 2: Yoru and Sesshomaru - Kyuubi Yokai and Inu Yokai

Five: Jaken Falls Ill

* Yoru's Pov *

After Naraku had mysteriously vanish, Sesshomaru continues his search for him and now we're walking through a forest when Rin said that she is hungry.

"A forest like this will have nothing for you to eat so bear with it" says Jaken.

I glance around, seemingly there is almost nothing at all. Rin suddenly got off of A-Un and heads into the forest to look for food alone.

Jaken was about to go after her when Sesshomaru says to let her be. I was about to follow when Sesshomaru stops me but says nothing.

While waiting for Rin to come back, I was simply daydreaming when we suddenly heard Rin's scream. Sesshomaru and I immediately heads to the direction where Rin is. We arrive and Rin was being captured by a giant green hand.

"Rin!"

Sesshomaru instantly kills it with his Tokijin while I manage to catch Rin.

"You alright Rin?" I ask.

"Yep! Sesshomaru-sama is so dashing!" Rin exclaims which made me sweatdrop.

The arm that Sesshomaru cut off revealed to be a bunch of Naraku's Saimyoshos.

"What are Saimyoshos doing here?"

"Stand back" says Sesshomaru.

The Saimyoshos transformed into the arm again and Sesshomaru tells Jaken that there should be a hive nearby and Jaken goes to look for it and Rin follows.

I then watch Sesshomaru fight against the Saimyoshos which he then cut the arm in half but they started to fly in another direction. 

"Is it alright not to chase after those Saimyoshos?" I ask Sesshomaru. 

"I wouldn't want to waste my time" He simply says. 

"I see. Oi Jaken!" I called for the demon imp.

I then went to look for the imp and Rin when I see some fire that comes from Jaken's Two Headed Staff. I arrive to see the Saimyoshos from earlier. Just then, more Saimyoshos came from behind Jaken.

Jaken can't burn all of these Saimyoshos alone. I then jump in and used my power to tear away the Saimyoshos, to Rin's amazement and Jaken's shock.

"Don't just stand there Jaken!" I said.

"Jaken. Yoru" Sesshomaru calls and I see him wielding his Tokijin and I immediately understood.

"Jaken, get down!" I said and push his head down to the ground.

"Ouch, no need to tell me!" He complained. 

With one swing, I could feel the impact from Tokijin as it destroys the Saimyoshos and eventually the hive behind us and in the process, cutting down the tree.

When it was over, we came out and Jaken and Rin were thanking Sesshomaru for saving them. I simply smiled at Sesshomaru which I'm pretty sure he understood.

Jaken suddenly screamed and I see the Saimyoshos attacking Jaken. I immediately used my powers and eventually they flew away.

Sesshomaru then immediately chases after the runaway Saimyoshos, leaving me in the care of Rin and Jaken. Jaken rips off his sleeve and Rin takes out the Saimyosho's stingers.

However, the stingers got into Jaken's skin before she could do anything. At this rate, Jaken may just die from Saimyosho's poison and I doubt Tenseiga would save him a second time.
