Book 2: Yoru and Sesshomaru - Kyuubi Yokai and Inu Yokai

Eight: Kyuubi Kitsune Yokai pt. 2

* Yoru's Pov *

"What do you mean memory lane?" I ask.

"This is the Sengoku era many years back. We were originally born here. Our mother Miya and our father Hayabusa were fox yokais who have been living in the village of humans for a long while. 

Mum and Dad never attacked anyone and they have always protected the village which the villagers were grateful and nice to them. We were then born on the night where the lunar rainbow was seen.

It was a very rare sight and the villagers thought of some names for us like Lunar, Niji or something. Eventually it was decided that our name would be Yoru which means night. 

Everything was peaceful until we were 7 years old. A fire broke out suddenly and many villagers died. Our father tried his best to protect us and eventually got defeated by the demon which is the cause of the fire"

My eyes widen as I witness the scene taking place in my forgotten childhood. So he's my real father... Thinking that he died to protect me and mum, I let some tears fell.

"Shall I continue?" I nodded.

"Please... I want to know everything" I said and she nods and the view changes. 

"After that, the surviving villagers escaped and so did we and Mum. We ran into the woods but were instantly caught by our enemy.

Also the one who set the fire to the village. Our enemy was the snake demon tribe. Back then we were only 7 and you wanted to protect mum so you used your kyuubi power, me.

However you couldn't control me that well yet even if we were lucky enough to even injure the snake demon a little. We were knock out but still conscious and that's when mum used her power to saved us and also killed the last of the snake demon tribe. 

Mum carried us to a castle which happened to belonged to her friend, Inukimi-sama. Oh and she is actually Sesshomaru's mother" 

My eyes widen. I look into my memory and see a woman that looks like Sesshomaru. So she is Sesshomaru's mother? From afar, I could see a younger Sesshomaru which prompt the Kyuubi to continue explaning.

"Inukimi-sama had healed our wounds and we actually stayed here for two nights. During these two days, Sesshomaru was young and hadn't gone out into the outside world yet. 

We befriended Sesshomaru and even at that time, he is still quite distant like he is now. But I'd say he was more kind and compassionate I guess. 

Anyways, you and Sesshomaru had promised each other to not forget each other and umm... We promised to get married" Kyuubi says while blushing.

Okay I am blushing too. Did I really said that?

"Mind you it was Inukimi-sama to set this marriage proposal. C-Continuing on ahem! On the second and last night of our way, our mum had decided to have our powers sealed. 

Though Inukimi-sama originally hesitated, she eventually agreed but leaving some of our poison attribute in our power for Sesshomaru hoping to recognize if we ever returned. 

And Inukimi-sama also sealed our memories of the Sengoku era and then the next day, mum and us headed to another world without demons, and that is Tokyo.

The remaining story about how mum met Dad you should know" says Kyuubi. 

"I do know... So that's our memory" I mumbled.

Kyuubi's body began to glow just as my body did too much to my shock. Kyuubi assures that it is nothing, just that we could finally be one again.

"Let's protect the ones that are precious to us" She says and I nodded.

With that, I finally broke out of the vines that were capturing me and I found myself my yokai powers are back. I then headed back up to save Rin. 

I heard Rin's screaming and she was falling right into me. I used my speed and immediately caught her. She's got some scratches but no fatal injuries much to my relief.

I smiled with relief when Rin manages to get the sennensou berry and I leap back to where A-Un is. Sesshomaru then appears and I was reverted back to my human form which I eventually collapse.

"S-Sesshomaru" I mumbled.

"Let's head back" He simply says as he puts Rin and I onto A-Un's back. Eventually I handed him the sennensou berry but I black out due to exhaustion.

Later when I woke up it was already night time. Rin was already awake and I was glad to see Jaken safe. I then turn to see Sesshomaru not far from us and I walk up to him.

"Sessho-"

"So, you got your powers back?" He ask which surprised me.

"E-Ehh? Y-You knew I was a fox demon?" I ask.

"A legendary kyuubi that is. I thought it was weird why you could resist my poison when we first met. Then I remembered your scent as that little girl" He says and I blushed.

"I-If you knew why didn't you tell me?" I ask with a pout.

"I thought you should get it back yourself even if you don't remember. After all, my mother is the one who sealed your memory and powers" He says.

"T-Then do you uh.. Remember something else...?" I ask while fidgeting with my fingers.

"The marriage you mean?" EEP!

I was blushing furiously. He remembers >.< Hmm, is this a good time to confess or something? Gahh! I don't know anymore!

"I-If you would cancel I-I understand-"

"Fool, why would I cancel it" He says which made me look at him.

"Y-You mean you'll..."

"Let's get moving. Naraku is in the direction of the Ox and Tiger"

I immediately pout when Sesshomaru changed the subject. He's teasing me... -.-' But since it is about Naraku's whereabouts, I guess the marriage thing could wait.

With Rin and Jaken feeling better, we soon head out to the direction of the Ox and Tiger to search for Naraku's whereabouts. Just you wait Naraku, we will find you and eventually kill you so be prepared.
