Cheer Practice

Sorry but online school is getting to me and I've been busy. I just want these next 5 weeks to fly through☹️

Y/n's POV:

I change as I am about to lead cheer practice.

I go into the gym excited and blow my whistle as I tell the cheerleaders to line up.

"I am so excited to be running cheer practice. Together, we can do anything," I say to them.

They then said my name in whispers, I look at them in questions as they are all tense and nervous.

Everyone though is looking behind me and Bree points behind me and I turn around. I see all the wolves there except for Wyatt's sister.

"Sorry, this practice is for cheerleaders only," I say to them.

"Ha! Just try and get us to leave," an aggressive girl said.

"Wynter, some respect," Wyatt said looking at me.

"No, I don't want you to leave," I say, "I want you to stay. Show us what you can do. The cheer team is for everyone."

They all look shockingly at me. But I started the routine and it turned out great. With the agility and experience of cheerleaders and tricks and strength of the zombies and werewolves, our routine looked amazing.

I then fall into Wyatt's arms as I was thrown up after the routine was over.

"That was so amazing," I said. "You all are natural cheerleaders."

"We wolves work great together," Wyatt says to me.

"But I am not a wolf," I said as he looked at me with a smirk.

I gave him a weird look but then see the girl, Wynter, start coughing badly as her necklace turns green. "Hey, are you-"

I am interrupted as Bucky comes in, "Well done Y/n!"

"With wolves on the team, this election is so in the bag," he says excitedly with a big cherry smile on his face as he looks around the gym.

"Bucky, this is not about politics," I say looking at Wyatt, "I just thought cheer could unite."

Wyatt smiles at me as I say this and we look to Bucky.

"You're going to make a great cheer captain," he says.

I gasped as I said, "I'm gonna be cheer captain!"

Everyone smiles, applauds and cheers.

I then look at Wyatt and say, "I was thinking the team could move beyond trophies and we could start an outreach program."

I am cut off again as Bucky says, "Woah, cheer is what I say cheer's about. And it's about winning!"

I look to the ground sadly as he leaves. Wyatt then grabs my chin to lift my face and holding my chin, "You're a leader Y/n, but of something more greater than cheer."

I look at him gratefully and smile as he starts to lean in-

"Y/n!" I snap my head to look at the door where Addison and Zed are looking at me. They motion for me to go outside with them, they seem upset.

"Sorry," I said to Wyatt and went outside.

"What happened," I say.

"What happens is that werewolves don't want to fit in," Zed says, "They're not interested in anything."

"They're interested in cheer," I say.

"No they're interested in you, and you're interested in him-them," Addison says.

"What's this all about," I say.

"It took so long for zombies to fit in, but now everything is just being handed to the wolves on a silver platter," Zed says bitterly.

"Actually, they hate silver," I corrected him.

"The point is, I am trying to win the election for my people, for Addison and so me and her can go to Prawn and be accepted," he says.

"That's not being accepted," I say pointing to the posters of Zed looking human, "That's being afraid of showing who you really are."

"Says the girl who wore a wig her whole life," Addison says.

I looked hurt as I looked at her and Zed, "Yeah. I did. Because I always felt like an outsider. And even though I might be cheer captain, I still do. You know I don't have a place here! Don't have a zombie crew, or fit in with everyone at Seabrook. I don't know what I am! So excuse me for respecting a pack of werewolves who are proud of who they are!"

I left in a hurry to my house, hoping Addison doesn't come looking for me there or try talking to me after she gets home.

I'm not in a mood for her to pity me.
