Scarlette was always a serious kid, she was just part of a family in the Datharan kingdoms, her mother died when she was birthed into the world, her father remarried and she had her half sister, Eris (Erica).

Everything was good and nice, when both of the sisters became teenagers, they became young duchesses, as their father is a duke.

When both of them grew up, in their young adult years, they started working at the castle and started learning a lot of magic. Scarlette was skillful in her own way, but Eris was much more skilled. She was almost perfect in every way, and when she made a mistake, everyone would dismiss it as an accident.

Scarlette did not care though, she was happy. She joined the military since she enjoyed combat the most. Eris is a smart child, so she joined the training to become part of The Council.

Scarlette went on a trip regularly to The Council to visit her sister. They get along, but they're not too close since both of them had their own world.

One occasion, Scarlette's father invited her to meet the Outsiders, Eris couldn't be bothered, so it was only Scarlette who went on a trip with her dad.

There she meets a woman by the name of Delaine. She was encapsulated by her, she's the prettiest girl she's ever met. Delaine was 6 years older than her, but Scarlette didn't care.

Delaine is a French aristocrat, she's also accompanying her father. They visited the Prolinikan land for favors.

Scarlette and Delaine weren't part of the meeting so they hang out with each other. Scarlette was clearly flustered by Delaine, but Delaine didn't understand Scarlette's English. Delaine only speaks French. Scarlette was finding a solution where both of them can understand each other, Delaine started speaking other languages that Scarlette had no idea about.

Scarlette didn't give up, so she just signs with her hand pointing to an apple, not knowing what to say since they didn't understand each other. Delaine laughs and says "Pomme?" Scarlette smiled at her and said, "Pomme? Is that how you say apple?" Delaine raised her brows, but smiled at Scarlette.

After their short interaction, their fathers came out of the room and started speaking in French, probably bidding respects at each other. Scarlette asks to translate her sentence to Delaine, "May I know your name? Can I see you again?"

Her father did so and Delaine's face lit up. She says "Je m'appelle Delaine. Bien sûr, Mon père et moi reviendrons le mois prochain!" Scarlette raised her brow and looks at her dad, to which her dad says "Her name's Delaine. They'll be back next month." Scarlette nodded and smiled at Delaine. Delaine smiles back, and so both of them went in their merry ways.

Scarlette immediately asked her father on how to speak their language. Her father said to her that she didn't need to, but Scarlette is persistent. So they hired a private tutor to teach Scarlette French. She learned quickly, as quick as you can learn in 4 weeks. She can hold a conversation well, but still needs a bit of improvement.

One month later she meets with Delaine. Delaine was happy that they can finally speak with each other, but Scarlette still needs to learn a lot. Delaine thanks Scarlette for her effort. Scarlette says that it's not a problem, as long as she can talk to her. Delaine blushes, looking away, and so their romance begun.

They would meet once a year, they'd want their meeting to be longer but their fathers would only meet for important matters. Scarlette couldn't go to the other lands since it's a rule that they have. They kept their relationship a secret of course, nobody should know. A duchess inlove with an outsider? People would talk. Outsiders are not welcome in the Prolinikan land, especially aristocrats. They have stigma against them. Aristocrats are greedy. They're not in Prolinikos for friendship, they're here asking for allies, moneys, their resources.

Scarlette mastered her French, while Delaine is half-way there with her English, but they still talk in French, they rarely speak English with each other.

But then something unexpected happened.
The other lands had disagreements with each other. Prolinikos is a neutral continent, their countries don't want to get involved with the outsider's political tensions.

When the threat of a war was finally over, Delaine's dad and all of the world's aristocrats gathered on Prolinikos to discuss further world plans and all that hardcore shit.

Delaine was able to meet Scarlette, after 3 years of not contacting with each other, they finally reunited, but Delaine has terrible news. Delaine told Scarlette that she's getting married to an old aristocrat, and she doesn't want to. Delaine wanted to stay in Prolinikos with her but Scarlette feared that this would open another political argument, but that didn't stop Scarlette from questioning her father.

Scarlette finally revealed her relationship with Delaine to her dad. Of course her father was furious. He did not approve of Delaine because she's an outsider, an aristocratic outsider at that! Scarlette explained that she just want to hide Delaine from her arranged marriage. Her father wouldn't budge, he threatened to kill Delaine if she doesn't stop having an 'affair' with an outsider.

Scarlette was conflicted. It was either their relationship or Delaine's life. She wouldn't want Delaine to die young. So she gathered up the courage to talk to Delaine one last time.

Delaine was devastated. She doesn't want to leave Prolinikos, she was not happy marrying someone that she doesn't love. Scarlette and Delaine embraced each other one last time. They cried as they let go each others' hands. They said their goodbye's to each other.

Scarlette never saw her again. Delaine is her first and last person that she truly loved.
