They urge us to wear masks for our own protection,
But I've been wearing one my entire life.
Actually, several in utmost honesty,
Disguising my frustration for your preservation.
Protecting the volume of normality around me,
Because you told me it was abnormal to express my emotions.
That it was unpleasant and simply embarassing to speak my truth.
So I hid my all from all of you,
Because you were the epidemic
And I did not want to catch any of you.
