Our meal arrived and were served on beautiful cutlery. There were 4 cutlery having the food. At first the waiter brought an elegant chalk-white bowl having some thick soup and 2 pieces of bread in it. As further served, I found out that one plate had 4 dumpling shaped thing with red and green sauce drawn in like a picture on the plate. In a black bowl with flowers drawn over the rim of it, there was few layered thing with a beautiful golden top crust and 2 mint leaves and a cherry tomato to enhance its beauty. At last came a wooden board with a long bread like thing that served the purpose of bowl and plate, inside which was meat. I could just focus on the food, they looked like the ones in those expert cooking shows.

I jumped on for the food, starting with the soup and ending with the meat thing. The food had elegant and attractive presentation, it was both crisp and creamy. But something was missing! I had I guess... almost a 2000 to 2500 rupees food but was not satisfied. The quantity of every dish was not so worthy of the cost. Yesss! Flavours!! I missed the flavours... it was more like having some boiled things with pepper, salt and a few spices. That's why I love Indian food, it has so many variety of flavours spices and colours... uff.. Chingri Macher Malai Curry, Shorshe Ilish, Chicken tikka, Bhetki macher paturi, the royal bengali streetfood- jhalmuri... yummm... Yes I am so called "Desi". But I was not much contended at my food today. Moreover, this guy Anuj didn't even speak much during the lunch. I think it might be his customs.

As we waited for the bill, my dissafisfication was expressed "Well, these foods were great in design and presentation.."

Anuj gave a wicked smile as if he won the battle.

I continued "But.. these are so costly that I expected more in respect to quantity and taste"

His smile was replaced by a frown on a confused and a bit angry face. "What!" He exclaimed.

"Yes, Indian dishes.. Dosa Sambar Alu ka paratha Fish Chicken65 ... ahh yummy... yeah today's food are good, but I said I rather like these foods. And moreover why to eat in this too much costly restaurant when we can eat yummy street food."

"Yeh.. Miss desi girl. This is Kolkata's best restaurant. All the wealthy people come here. "

"Yeah.. I agree that. And might be many people would like these foreign food. And truly speaking these food are healthy but I personally like the spices."

"Yeah whatever! I don't even expect you to understand my choice"

Further we talked over our choices and mostly everything clashed. At times he taunted me for my choices.

At last we departed.
