Why do we write things down?

Why, to record of course.

To remember.

That's why we take pictures.

To remember.

But isn't that what our brains are for?

To remember things?

Photos capture,

Writings record,

Both seize a moment,

An experience

In our lives.

But why do we do that,

When we can just live it on our own?

Why, to help of course.

But I do believe

That this

We have taken,

This trajectory

We are on,

Going down is a bad one.

An abusive one,

An addiction,

An overuse of our capturing tools and instruments.

Making us,

Causing us to lose contact with the moment we are in.

Causing us to

Lose track of

Time-

Looking down and reading.

Looking at your phone and searching

Through

Thousands of photos

That have been taken.

Wanting so badly to capture a moment in time

that you lose the moment due to the yearning to capture it.

The yearning to

Record it.

What is life then,

But a collection of experiences.

Which are all being thwarted by

our inability,

Our addiction to capture it.

So how then can we fully experience a moment?

How then do we live in the moment without it

Slipping away?

Is to remember to terrorize?

What is memorization to Theatre?

Memorizing lines only for a couple nights of performance,

And then?

That's The End.

So, then,

What is this great show later on in our lives

Which we are memorizing,

Capturing, recording and preparing for?

Because sometimes

This seems like a chore.

To capture

(To) Take,

(To) Trap, a moment.

What great, grand show are we preparing for?

To what end do we distill,

Infect,

Dirty,

All of these moments, experiences that are so pretty?

My only answer

That i could possibly procure here is

Fear.

Fear is the answer behind why we fly through life.
