(A/N) This is an introductory type thing, I have seen them before and decided why not! Hope you like it!

"Amazing news! I found a single survivor. God showed her to me, now she can survive with us."

"You talk'in weird." A small child said looking up at the man who promised to bring her somewhere safe. "Are we safe?"

"Don't worry about her. You have been out there way too long. Go get some rest." Another man said. The four-year-old girl had raven coloured hair and beautiful blue eyes. She wore a pink skirt, a deep blue t-shirt that had a rainbow across it. A denim jacket and matching shoes. A blue backpack that was bigger than the child was on her back. Her hair was braided and she wore a heart locket around her neck. "What is your name?"

"Alexandra, but mum calls me Alex."

"Your mom is gone, Alex. She must have died when the world ended." The man said to the girl.

"Gone? Was it the booze?!" The girl exclaimed. The man shook his head with a slight chuckle.

"We will need to teach you so much."

Three years later

A short girl wearing a dress ran up to a much bigger man. The girl looked about seven. Her hair tied back into a ponytail. She punched him behind the knee. He fell to the ground, grabbing her leg in an attempt to trip her up. The girl tumbled but quickly bounced back up. She grabbed the mans arm in an attempt to pin him but he used his other to lift her and throw her to the ground. "Nice try, you are getting better."

"Thanks, James. Where is Kevin?" She said as James helped her up.

"Right here and guess what I found?! Some old wires! I have a very cool lesson on electricity with these. Go change into another dress and braid your hair before Terry flips!" The girl groaned before changing, braiding her hair and skipping off to her engineering lesson from Kevin.

"Where you an engineer?" She asked.

"Ya, I spent lots of time going to school. Now time for-" The girl sat there. Building up the courage to ask a question. "You want to hear a story don't you?" Alex nodded with a bright smile on her face.

"Please!" She begged

"Alright. The school was pretty boring, but they had loads of books! Computers, phones and everything in between. Then as you know, judgement day arrived and all of it was lost. God visited Terry and warned him so he could save us! Then he showed you, one survivor."

"So the world is dead? There really is no life outside? What about radio towers! They can't all be gone, there must be other bunkers we could communicate-"

"Alexandra you stop spouting nonsense!" Kevin snapped. He sighed and gave the girl a hug. "I know it's hard to think about, but everyone is gone. You have to accept that!" The girl looked down at the floor. "Go have fun with James. School can wait. We have eternity!" Alex smiled as she raced off to find James. "DO NOT RUN!" Kevin yelled.

Six years later

"Alex, go to bed!" Kevin demanded.

"I am not *Huff* tired."

"You have been training for seven hours straight. I have nothing left to teach you and you need to rest!"

"What is all this noise about?!" Terry burst through the door. Everyone froze. The argument is forgotten about. "What are you training for anyway?! You are a girl, you should be cooking or cleaning. There is nothing that will hurt you, other than me if you don't quiet down!" Terry was red in the face with anger. He was sick and tired of Alex. He should have never chosen her, this is just a trial run. He would have killed her but she has been training in combat since he brought her here. Then, disaster struck.

"Get over it." Alex scoffed. James backed away. Kevin slipped out of the room to avoid what was to come.

"Get over it? CHILD I SAVED YOU!"

"From what? The world? My family? The people who are still alive out there! I saw a rat in the vents. If everything is dead then where did it come from?! You are sick and tired of me? I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOU!" Alex balled up her fists and in that exact moment, an empty metal tin, exploded on the table next to her. No one spoke. Everyone stared at the remains of the tin. James had backed himself into the wall. Terry was terrified. After about five minutes he finally spoke.

"What kind of demon did I bring into this bunker?" He then left to his private quarters. Alex stared at the spot the exploded from. She had done that. She didn't know exactly how yet but she did. James took note of the blue glow around her fists with the same glow in her eyes. Did she really have a demon inside of her? Was she a demon? This girl was very different. She was independent, quick to answer back and always had something to say, mostly insults. It was how she arrived. From what they could gather she had raised herself until Terry took her in. James didn't care, she was his daughter and he would protect her no matter what she was.

Meanwhile, on the outside.

"Sir, why open a police investigation?"

"It has Hydra written all over it. If you haven't noticed, it is all very suspicious. An intelligent engineer goes missing. He has a bunch of degrees in mechanical, chemical and electronic engineering. A trained soldier, someone who would have been given the offer to be a shield agent. Missing. No living relatives and very little friends. I have a feeling that something is up. There is something or someone we are missing, I have a feeling they aren't dead. So we will open an investigation and find them or their bodies."

"On it sir."

The man sat back in his chair. "Why does this mystery fascinate me so much?!"

"You would be surprised." The man who had previously been lounging jumped up and pulled a weapon on the other.

"Loki." He scowled. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm out on good behaviour, I also have the answer to your puzzle but I want to make sure I get my daughter."

While those men bickered over personal matters. Alex sat alone, afraid of herself. Staring at her hands. She had to get this under control and fast.
