I had been banging on the door for an hour. He wouldn't let me out. He wouldn't even talk to me. I could tell from the pacing outside my room that he was going to snap at any moment. "Let me out! Loki! LOKI!"
"SHUT UP! Why won't the child shut up." He scoffed. I hit the door one more time. I could just leave, or at least I think I can. I had decided not to, hoping he had forgotten that I could get out. "That's it! I'm going out! You, STAY OUT OF TROUBLE!" I waited for a minute. After hearing the door downstairs slam I smirked. I grabbed my bag from under the bed. Once I was satisfied with my packing skills, I walked over to the door. I shut my eyes and placed my hand against the door. When opened again I was on the other side of the door, a green mist faded. As I reached the door to leave. I stopped. This seemed stupid. Why couldn't we talk it out? I was in the wrong, but so was he. I placed my bag down by the front door and sat in the kitchen. He will be home soon. If he tries to hurt me again Ill just kick his sorry ass, or try.
Two hours later.
Loki walked through the front door. "Hello, Hela." He did a double-take. "Hela?!" He gave me a look of confusion before it hit him. I had his abilities too. He took a seat across from me at the kitchen table. "Hela. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have hurt you."
"I'm sorry that I went where I wasn't supposed too." We sat in silence for a minute before I spoke once more. "I want to go back to school."
"No."
"Hear me out! I can go under a fake name. I can make friends with my old friends again. Have a normal enough life! I know you can do some sort of thing that changes your appearance!" I said smiling. Loki sighed and smiled back at me.
"I'll get you a fake ID." He said. I jumped up and screamed in excitement. Loki huffed something about his ears before telling me to sit down again. After a little dance and Loki laughing at me, I sat back down. "Shall we get started then? You will have to learn the power of illusion."
3 Months later. (Time skip brought to you by Barney)
"Do you wanna be blonde?" Loki asked me as we were figuring out which illusion to use.
"Brown hair," I said running my hand through my hair, it changed instantly from its sleek black to a middle brown. I shut my eyes to change them from blue to green. I smiled at Loki. Its been so long. I wonder if anyone remembers me? Perhaps Peter, maybe its best everyone forgets me. So they can remember new me! Alana Smith. I picked up my school bag and waited for Loki to disguise himself.
"Remember-" I cut him off.
"If the illusion begins to fade run and hide, answer questions later. Teleport somewhere far away and call you. Ya, I know. Can we go now?" I was getting impatient. I really wanted to see my friends. It took three months to master the illusion. Now it was on it felt wrong, but I had no choice. Loki teleported us near the school. I stepped out of the alleyway and saw the school up ahead. Loki gave me a hug before I began walking towards the school. I would have run but I would look weird. Technically this is my first day. Again. I walked up the steps, passing flash who gave me a catcall. I got a rock to fly at his head from the opposite direction of me. I giggled as I entered the school. I pulled out a piece of paper with my locker number. It was right next to my old locker. I wonder who had it now. I approached the area where I new the locker would be to find a memorial at my locker. I wanted to cry. I opened my new locker and shoved my bag inside. Some random person who I didn't know put flowers on the table in front of my old locker. My locker. She talked with her friends about how sad it was before taking a selfie and posting to Instagram. I stared at my locker. A picture of me what on the front with missing as a headline. Someone tapped me on the shoulder. I jumped and turned around ready to punch whoever just touched me. Then I recognised who it was.
