"I have no idea what you did Smith." MJ said. Why do they always find me at my locker?! I shut it and looked over at her.
"What?" I asked
"Tony Stark is coming today to check out the applicants." My heart dropped. What if he recognises my voice? Mannerisms or something. This can not be happening.
"WHAT!" I yelled. People looked over at me. "What!" I whispered.
"Calm down, didn't know you were a fan." MJ said, half joking. I started laughing.
"Oh trust me I'm not!" I kept laughing. "But that's hilarious. When does he get here?" I asked as I walked into my metal work room. I bumped into someone. In an amazing moment of complete stupidity. I grabbed this persons arm and pinned it behind their back. They were taller than me. Suggesting they were also older. "Who the fuck just scared me shitless." I said in a cold tone. MJ coughed.
"That's, Mr Stark." She whispered.
"I-I'm sorry sir." I said.
"Let me go before I attack a small child." He muttered under his breath. I let go and gave him a weird smile, he gave me a sad look. "You remind me of someone." He mumbled. "Now, I'm here because people in this school filled out a form thing and I really liked it." He pulled up a hologram on his phone. "From this class, I need Peter Parker and Alana Smith." Peter waved nervously to Mr Stark. I just stood there. "Come on, where is Alana?"
"That would be me sir." I said from behind him. He turned around and sighed.
"Let's go, should have made Pepper come." As we walked through the hall, Peter spoke up.
"So, Mr Stark. Have you gotten any closer." Peter asked, messing with the straps on his bag.
"Kid, small child nearby." Tony shook his head at me. I really want to punch him in the face.
"I know more than you hot shot!" I snapped back at him. Peter gave me a look. "I know be nice and whatever." We arrived at the front doors. "Hold up, are we leaving?"
"Ya, the test to see who gets in is today." Tony said opening the door.
"Hold on, I should check in with my dad first." I heard Tony laugh. I rolled my eyes and walked over to where Loki was standing across the street. "Hey, Dad. There's an-"
"You called me Dad." He said. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Well, ya. Anyway there's a summer programme at Stark Tower and I have to go for a test to apply right now. If you don't mind." He pulled me into a hug.
"Yes, go have fun." I could tell he was crying. Was it because I called him Dad? "Go!" He laughed. I ran back to where Peter was sitting on the steps. Tony was on the phone.
"Was that your dad?" He asked. I smiled and nodded. For once I could say that and be happy.
"Come on Pete, feisty" I grumbled at the nickname as we got into the car. Tony sat in the front with Happy while Peter and I sat in the back.
"Hey Happy." I said, as I was the first to get into the car.
"Hey Alex." We both froze and looked at each other. "We don't speak of this." He said as Tony got into the car. I nodded. That was the way our conversation went everyday. He must have recognised my voice. Peter got in, he must have sensed the tension. Happy started driving to the Tower. It was strange, being back in this seat. I felt like I needed to start talking to happy. He would roll his eyes, but if I was quiet would ask what was wrong. He was great. We arrived at the Tower. I walked in before everyone else. I heard Happy ask Tony. "How does she know where she's going?" I stopped and looked around, pretending to be lost. "Never mind." Happy said as he got back into the car.
