Annabeth's POV:

I held Percy's arm as we climbed out of the limo, smiling and walking over to the dance floor. I was faintly aware of someone's glare burning my back, but I didn't care. I walked over to the refreshments stand and set it up with Percy. Only ten minutes till the dance would begin, though some people were already here. I glanced at Percy... so handsome...

"Hey, Seaweed Brain!"

"Hey, babe."

"You look handsome today..."

"You look gorgeous, my queen."

"My king..."

We both cracked up at that. I kissed him.

"Well, you're a very romantic king, that's for sure," I whispered into his hair.

"I...I...never mind...it's a secret." He had a sly gleam in his eyes.

I raised an eyebrow. What was he planning? I decided not to wonder about it too much. I grabbed him and we hugged each other tightly.

"I would go back to Tartarus for you..." he whispered.

I felt the tears gathering in my eyes.

"I would do the same for you..." I whispered back, kissing him gently.

"Alright, break it up, you two. If you haven't noticed, all of the seniors have arrived and are waiting to dance!" Thalia's voice snapped us out of the romantic gesture.

Thalia's POV:

I watched as Percy and Annabeth danced. They were true romantic lovebirds. I held Connor's hand and we swayed to the music. I felt something move outside and I was really concerned. I heard hissing and I gasped. The mortals looked at me weirdly, then I remembered that the mist was still over their eyes.

"Perseus Jackson..." it hissed.

I saw it. Kampê. She was holding her poison swords and stalking toward the kissing couple. Percy was unaware and Annabeth was still in the moment. I pushed Annabeth out of the way, before screaming Percy's name. I had missed him. The poisoned blade ripped through his ribcage as he groaned in agony. The party stopped and I saw what the mist was displaying. It was a hooded figure stabbing Percy with a green-tinted sword. At least they weren't seeing some devil lady with swords!

Percy fell down, gasping in surprise. Golden ichor was pouring out of his wounds.

"Y-you're...a god..." I heard Kampê whisper so low that no mortal could hear.

"Yeah, you should've known that by now, challenging the king," I whispered back.

She struck out at me and I felt the searing pain as it cut my arm. I grabbed the sword and we were dueling. Percy was just on the floor, moaning and clutching his ribcage, before staring at us in fear. Who wouldn't after being stabbed by a poisonous blade, then seeing your cousin fighting the snake lady?!

Annabeth came and slashed at Kampê with her dagger, earning Kampê on the floor, groaning in pain. I took out my spear and stabbed it right into Kampê's heart, before Kampê stabbed Annabeth's arm, as she howled in pain. I ran over to her, checking her wound. It was oozing green goo. I desperately tried to stop it, but I knew I had to let it flow, otherwise, the poison would remain in her bloodstream.

We couldn't die, so that reassured me, but they would be in pain, and gods could still fade...but not that easy. I saw Percy's blood completely green. He has a poisoned chest, what do you think? Annabeth whimpered.

"I...I...I prayed...I prayed that nothing bad would happen...curse you, Hecate!"

"I'm so sorry, dear."
