Chapter 9 - Victoria's Demise

As the fight continued, Victoria throws everybody away from her by using her powers. "I've had enough of you pitiful humans!!!" She yelled. She grabs Paul again. He tries to move, but he's not strong enough to free himself from her grasp. "Don't do this, Victoria, please!" He said. "Shut up, you worthless little wretch!" Said Victoria angrily. She starts squeezing Paul tighter than ever before.

Instead of losing his youth, Paul ended up unconscious while Victoria continued squeezing him. She drops him after he's weak enough.

Learning from her sister's vampire survival guide, Quinn comes back with a milkshake. "Oh, Victoria?" She said. "What do you want, squirt?" Victoria asked with an annoyed tone. "I figured you might wanna hydrate yourself after all this moving around." Said Quinn. Victoria looks at the drink suspiciously, but eventually gives in. "I suppose you're right." She said.

Victoria takes the milkshake and drinks the whole thing. She starts coughing after a minute. "Gross! That was garlic!" She said. "Fooled ya!" Quinn said. Victoria was about to grab Quinn, but the garlic milkshake started weakening her. "I'm powerless! You fools should understand that vampires hate garlic!" She said in between coughs. "We did know that." Said Lloyd as he steps up. He and Quinn high five afterwards.

Gloria steps up with the wooden stake. "Give up, Victoria! Or else!" She said. "Or else what?" Asked Victoria. "Or else I'll use this!" Said Gloria as she gestures to the stake. "You wouldn't dare!" Victoria said. "Try me!" Gloria said. Victoria tries to use her powers to stop Gloria, but all that came out of her hands was nothing. "That garlic milkshake is taking away my powers! It's time for revenge!" Snarled Victoria. Gloria steps back before the vicious vampire stands up. "What are you gonna do?" Asked Gloria. "I may be losing my powers, but I'm not finished with you yet!" Victoria said.

The sun began to rise. Victoria looks behind her and starts running for shade. Claire appears behind the vampire and drags her into the sunshine. "Not so fast! You're not going anywhere!" Said Claire with a smirk. The sun's blistering heat starts burning Victoria as she starts sizzling. "NOOOOOOOOO!!!" She yelled as she suddenly turned to dust.

After Victoria's remains blow away in the wind, Claire, her siblings, and friends celebrate the end of the vampire's curse. "We did it! Victoria is gone!" Claire said excitedly. "Working together to defeat a vampire is definitely better than doing it alone!" Said Lloyd. "You said it, Lloyd!" Said Quinn. "We made a great team. But now, I'm gonna head home. I have some sleep to catch up on." Said Gloria. "Me too. See you later, everyone." Said John.

Gloria and John take their leave, as Claire, Quinn, and Lloyd stuck around for a bit. "Why don't you two head back to the house? I'll catch up in a few minutes." Said Claire. Her siblings nod as they make their way home. Claire knew there was something very important she had to take care of. Or in this case, someone.
