Love At First Bite

Chapter 1 - Claire

Meet Claire Crawford. She's 20 years old, and lives with her younger sister, Quinn, and her younger brother, Lloyd. Quinn is 16 and Lloyd is 14. That means Claire is the oldest in her family. She also happens to be dating the bassist of The Beatles, Paul McCartney, and is really great friends with rhythm guitarist of The Beatles, and Paul's songwriting partner, John Lennon.

One other thing about Claire is that she lost her parents when she was 17. Her mom became ill with AIDS and succumbed to it a month later. Weeks after the death of her mom, her dad died of a broken heart. Quinn was 13, and Lloyd was 11 at the time. Ever since their deaths, Claire has always looked after her siblings the same way a mother would. These tragic events took place in the summer of 1960.

Claire also has a friend that's always been by her side whenever she needed someone. Her name is Gloria Montgomery, and she and Claire have known each other since they were kids.

Here's something else about Claire that'll probably shock you. She's always been fascinated by vampires. Not only that, she also claims that they come out every night. Everybody knows there's no such thing as vampires... or is there?

Now that you've met the characters and learned about them, let's get on with the story!

The year is 1964. Claire and her siblings are going for a walk one day in the beautiful sunshine. The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, and the wind is gently blowing. A butterfly passes by and Lloyd tries to catch it. He then runs off, chasing the butterfly. "Lloyd, stay where I can see you!!" Yelled Claire. "I'll get him, sis." Said Quinn. She runs off to catch the little rascal.

While Claire was waiting for her siblings to come back, she sees a familiar figure from a distance. Even though she can only see the back, she knew who it was immediately. It happens to be her boyfriend. She approaches him from behind and covers his eyes. "Guess who?" She said. Paul lets out a small chuckle. "I know that voice anywhere! It's none other than my gorgeous girlfriend, Claire!" He said.

Claire uncovers Paul's eyes and smiles. "You guessed it!" She said. Paul turns around and wraps his girlfriend into a hug. The two pull away after a few minutes. "I'm so glad to see you, love!" Said Paul. "Me too, honey. What are you up to?" Claire asked. "I'm going over a song that John and I recently finished. Wanna hear it?" Paul asked. "Oh, Paulie, I'd love to!" Said Claire. Paul tunes his guitar and sings after it's ready.

Claire claps for Paul after he's done. "Wow! That was amazing! You and John did a great job writing it!" She said. "Thank you, dear. Hey, are you free later tonight?" Asked Paul. "Yeah, why?" Claire asked. "I was just wondering if you'd like to go for a walk with me. Want to?" Paul asked. Claire takes a few minutes to think. "Sure." She said. "Sweet! I'll pick you up around 7:30." Said Paul. "Sounds great." Said Claire. She and Paul give each other a quick kiss on the lips.

Quinn comes back a minute later with Lloyd. "We're back, Claire." Quinn said. "That butterfly was way too fast, I couldn't catch it!" Said Lloyd. "Maybe it didn't wanna be captured." Claire said. Lloyd shrugs his shoulders. "True." He said. "Are these your siblings?" Paul asked. "Yes they are. Paul, this is Quinn and Lloyd. Guys, this is my boyfriend, Paul McCartney." Said Claire. "Nice to meet you, Paul." Said Quinn. She holds out her hand and Paul shakes it. "You too, Quinn." He said.

Lloyd shakes hands with Paul afterwards. "Great to finally meet you in person." He said. "Thanks, Lloyd. I'm guessing Claire told you about me?" Asked Paul. "She certainly did." Lloyd said. After minutes of meeting, Claire's siblings stepped aside for the happy couple to say their goodbyes.

"I guess I'll see you tonight." Claire said. "You too, love." Paul said. He gives his girlfriend a quick hug before the two go their separate ways.
