i chose a seat more towards the front and sat down, waiting for the bell to ring.

i started taking about my notebook and pen when a balled up piece of paper landed on my desk. i turned around to see who threw it. there were four other kids here and none of them made it obvious that they had done it so i turned back around.

a few seconds later, something hit me on the back of the head and i heard it hit the floor. another balled up piece of paper. i turned to see a boy pretending to write something down, he was smiling.

"hey," i called. he ignored me. "hey."

he looked up and pretended to look clueless.

"quit throwing those at me." i pointed to the balls on the ground.

"i didnt." he wasn't a very good liar and it showed. i turned back around and he did it again.

"would you stop that?" i raised my voice. he grinned.

"open it."

i picked it up and threw it into the trash.

"well that wasn't very nice." he cocked his head.

"neither is throwing things at people." i stated. he turned back to his notebook and started drawing, smiling to himself.

"touché." he chuckled. "im finn by the way."

how was he being so casual?

he looked up at me, like he was waiting for me to introduce myself.

"cool name." he said sarcastically. i took my seat and tried ignoring him, it was hard though, he sat one desk away from me.
