"Hello? Hey, you still there?"

"Pil? Are you serious?"

"Yeah. I mean, there's a possibility, but I'll research more on its outcomes and... Consequences. Multiverse manipulation isn't always a smooth ride." I heard a door closing and the sound of something landing on the bed. Pil, probably.

"Hey Kim Wonpil?"

"What's wih the formality? I'm having goosebumps..." I could hear the smile in his voice and how sleepy he sounded.

"Why are you willing to do so much for me?"

There was a silence on the other end, and I thought that he fell asleep. But then he answered, "Because you are my best friend."

"But what you're doing goes beyond being best friends - " I cut my reply when I heard soft snoring in the background.

A sigh, and then, "I love you best when you're happy."

Then the snoring continued.
