It was just like any other Sunday afternoon. Both Natasha and Steve had taken a walk to a local coffee shop on the streets of New York since they had nothing better to do. 

The pair were currently stood at the counter, waiting for the coffee's. As the Cashier handed them over, Steve paid him before the pair thanked him and would start walking back outside onto the autumnal streets of New York.

"All I'm saying is, men and women can't just be friends because the sex part always gets in the way" Natasha told him as they continued their conversation down the street

"Really?" Steve asked turning his head to look at her for a moment

"Yes." She told him, "No straight man and woman can be friends because the sex part always gets in the way."

The pair continued on the subject as they walked through Central Park on their way back to the compound. 

"Okay, so what about the friend zone?" Steve asked

"No man can make it out of the friend zone, the only way you can 'make it out of the friend zone' is if your not already in it. You may think your in it but your actually not. You can both think it but without realising both of you are not in the friend zone as long as there are some sort of feelings there, if you know about them or not." Natasha explained

Steve lowered the coffee cup from his lips, "Okay? So what about us? We're friends right? The sex part has never bothered us."

Natasha gave a small yet happy sigh, "No, now you see, we're different"

"How?" Steve questioned, "How are we any different from, I don't know, those two other there" Steve asked before pointing over towards a pair in the park. 

"Because, not everyone is us." Natasha smiled before she started walking backwards but still facing Steve.

She continued explaining while Steve just smiled as he watched and listened to her, "We have a relationship built on trust, I wouldn't exactly say your int he friend zone since I have no friends"

Steve chuckled, "You have friends."

"Okay" she chuckled before continuing further, "If a relationship is built on trust then that is where it is. I trust you and you trust me"

By the time they got back to the compound, they headed up in the lift before being greeted by the sight of the other members of their team, fussing over what they would be having to eat. 

Once they finally decided in what they wanted to have for dinner, both Steve and Wanda started cooking with the help of Sam.

"So, where did you and Romanoff rush off to earlier?" Tony asked as he sat down with his plate of food.

"That's none of your business, Tony" Natasha told him

"Oh come on, tell us where did you rush off to on your little date" Clint teased earning a glare from both Natasha and Steve.

"We went for coffee, while you lot stayed here and argued over what to have to eat." Steve explained

As time went on, most of the others, stayed in the living room while Steve, Sam and Clint washed the dishes along with putting them away.

As they were all talking both Clint and Sam were teasing Steve over how madly in love he was with Natasha.

Sam laughed, "Just admit it. You have heart eyes for Romanoff"
