Chapter 2

Lissa was still a bit shaken up that I was fighting a Strigoi and I hit my head. She asked to heal me but I told her no. Even though my head hurt, doesn't mean that she has to drive herself crazy.

We reached court and Nathan told me to go to the clinic. I was about to protest when he looked at me saying, "Dimitri."

I hated it whenever they used my husband's name against me. What's worse is that it's true. I gave him a glare which didn't affect him and went to the clinic. I said goodbye to Lissa and she went off with the guardians to where Christian was waiting at her queen housing.

Just thinking about that; that Lissa is Queen Vasilisa, and I am her guardian named Guradian Belikov. And of course who can forget 'Sparky' I mean Mr. Ozera and his guardian Guardian Belikov.

And the worst day of my life was the family reunion with the Belikov family and the Mazur family. When Dimitri's mom found out that I was Abe's daughter, everyone laughed and kept on saying no wonder Janine + Abe = Bad-Ass Rose. That was a dangerous match but what can they do now. It's true that they should be punished for bringing me in the world but now they have to live with it.

I reached the clinic and told the Doctor to give me a fake 'okay' letter. She asked why and I told her the story of fighting the Strigoi and banging my head. She immediately-to my dismay-took me to a room to check. She chastised me for even asking that. I ignored that comment. She went on checking and I was sitting there bored and extremely annoyed. I know it's for the best but I hated being not able to go and do my job.

Then I remembered everything that Strigoi had said to me. I hated to admit it but...I think I need all the strength I can get.

She just gave me one medicine and told me to rest a little before doing work again. I glared at her but she ignored that and went on with her work.

I went back on my way and gave Hans my letter, but pleaded to let me just continue guarding. He told me to go back to the Queen till he felt like calling me. I sighed too tired to glare the third time. He showed some sympathy but just turned away.

I reached the room to Lissa and the guardian outside the door gave me a nod and allowed me in. Lissa saw me and immediately started asking me questions. I said, "Liss if you don't stop right now I swear I will go anywhere I can find many Strigoi and finish them even if it means me dying."

She shut up right there and said, "Okay, sorry, but you hit your head so I thought that I had to make sure you were okay."

I looked at her like she was crazy. She knew what I was saying and she just wanted to make sure but I was damn tired of it all.

I was gonna forgive her when I noticed  Christian and I frantically looked around, knowing what I'd find. And there he was looking right at me with a zillion expressions.

I was about to say something when he suddenly says, "Tell us EVERYTHING!!!"

I groan. "Not you too comrade! Everyone has been all over me about fighting a Strigoi! One! That's it! Can't you give me a break? I know that if I were in your place I would ask but, everyone jumping over you as if you have never done it before. That is really annoying." I said all in one breath.

I may have been being a bitch but what can I do. What the Strigoi said really is getting to me. I should apologize. It isn't their fault that I am always the center of attention when it comes to Strigoi killing me.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. Its just been a long day." I said slowly.

Everyone was staring at me shocked. They finally snapped out of it. "You know, I am not the only one who thinks that Rose never acts like this unless something is seriously up right?" Says Christian.
