"How is she?" My mum asks me as she walks in my daughter's hospital room
"She's fine, she's always running temperature and the doctor told me to always clean her body and that she's going to be fine" I tell her with a sigh
"Did he tell you what's wrong with her?" She asks
"Yes, he said its just a malaria parasite" I tell her and she nods
"Why don't you go home and get some rest ok, I will be watching her"
"No ma I will not leave her"
"Ana.."
"No"
"Ok at least go get something to eat please" she said after a sigh
"Ok, but please don't leave her" I begged and she nods
I kissed my daughter on her forehead before leaving

"Visiting hours are over" a nurse comes in and tells us
"I will see you tomorrow then" I smiled at my brother
"Why don't you go home and I will take over, if its just for tonight"
"Thank you david, but she's my daughter, my responsibility"
"She's also like a daughter to me A"
"I know" I smiled at him
"Have you tried calling him?" He asks and I really didn't need to ask him who to know that he was talking about lizzy's father
"I have"
"And what did he say?"
"Can we not just talk about this tonight... Please" I begged and he nods
"Thank you" I thanked him
"Ok sis, see you tomorrow" he says and kissed me on my forehead
"Bye"
After he left I started cleaning lizzy's body after touching her and found out that she had a high temperature again
And while doing so I remembered Tobias lizzy's father
I remembered the time we met
Flash back
Years back, way before Lizzy was born
"Hey Ryan, its so good to see you" I greeted him
"Hey, its been a long time hasn't it?"
"Yeah" I said and noticed a guy standing close to him
"Oh right" he said like he just remembered someone was with him
"This is Tobias a friend of mine and Tobias this is ana" he introduced us
"Hi" Tobias said and lean his hand for me to shake
"Hi" I smiled and took his hand

"Ana!, Ana someone is looking for you!" My mum called and left what I was doing to the door
And I saw someone i wasn't expecting at all 'Tobias'
"Hey" I greet
"Hey"
"Umm?"
"Uh yeah I came to see you"
"I can see that, how did you know my house?" I asked
"Ryan told me where you lived"
"God Ryan!" I said out of annoyance, he can't just give out my address to people I don't know
"Don't get mad, he didn't want to give me at first but I made him, don't get mad at him please, it's just that I really wanted to see you"
"Why?"
"Um, i-i um a-ana i-i"
"Spit it out Tobias, I am really busy"
"Um o-ok, would you go out with me"
"Like on a date?" I asked
"If you want to call it that way, yes like a date" she smiled
"Am sorry but I don't go out on a date with guys that I don't know, and besides am a Christian" I said and wanted to lock the door right on his face but he quickly held the door before it closes
"Wait, if you don't want it to be a date am fine with that, just think of it as two friends going out, I just want to see you again" he says "and am a Christian as well" he quickly adds
I think about it for a while before agreeing to it
"Ok" I say
"So I will pick you up by 7?"
"Sorry but I only go out in the day" I tell him
"10 then?"
"Am ok with that" I tell him
"Great see you tomorrow, bye"
I closed my door not even telling bye in return
Its not that am harsh or something
Its just that I don't want anything to do with guys
At least now

After going out on dates with him, I was really happy that I let him to my life, he is nice and understanding he doesn't talk that much but he always wants me to talk to him
So every time I was going to see him I usually think of what I was going to talk about before leaving
Eventually he asked me to be his girlfriend which I said yes but we came in an agreement that we were not going to sex at least until marriage
I wasn't a virgin but when I gave my life to Christ I promised him that i won't go back to my old ways and am going to keep it that way

Its been months now that Tobias and I have been dating and am going to say that its been great but it went down the drill when he told me he was traveling to Italy and he was going to stay there.
I was a little bit sad but what was I going to do about it, as long as he is happy I am happy.
We wrote letters to each other almost every time, since that was the only means of communication we had.
He kept telling me to hold on and that I should wait for him and I did, I even declined the offer of traveling Spain as well and let my younger sister take my place because he promised me he was going to take me there so it would be a lot better if my mum had two of her children abroad right
Time passed and the letters stopped coming, I don't know what happened but it just stopped I waited but it never came so I stopped waiting and moved on but I was angry that all those years I waited for him was all for NOTHING!
I should have known....
