Chapter 3

"What do you mean 'played'?

"Exactly as it implies." I simply say.

"Yeah...sure...I know you Lexi and you should know me and if you know me, I will eventually find out." He implies.

"Good luck with that," I whispered under my breath.

"So what movie do you want to watch?" He asked.

I smile and get up to go to the movie shelf. As I searched the shelf looking for the movie I know Roman loves, I hear him get up go to the PS3, change the song to The Drug In Me Is You by FIR, then comes to stand by me. I hear him softly sing the first few lyrics:

I heard a knock upon my door the other day

I opened it to find death staring in my face

The feel of mortal stalking still reverberates

Everywhere I go I drag the coffin just in case

About 40 seconds into the song, I found the movie, grabbed it and shielded it with my body so he couldn't see it.

As I am making sure it is the movie I was looking for, I feel arms wrap around my waist and soft singing in my ear.

I've lost my goddamn mind

It happens all the time

I can't believe I'm actually

Meant to be here

Trying to consume

The drug in me is you

And I'm so high on misery

Can't you see

I grinned and put the movie in my shirt before he could see the title. I turn my head to find him staring at me instead of where the movie was and is. As we stand there, him hugging me from behind and a movie in my shirt, I find myself staring into his eyes. He stares back into my eyes. His gaze flicks to my lips for a few seconds, then back to my eyes, as our faces start to come closer. Just as our lips our about to touch, he pulls away, and falls on the ground, laughing. I give him a confused look.

"What?" I asked irritated.

"Really? The Nightmare before Christmas?" He said, laughing when I give him a confused look. He then holds up the movie that was supposed to be under my shirt. I felt my stomach and realized that the movie was not there.

"You're such a freaking tease!" I shouted at him, laughing falling next to him. We continued laughing until we heard my grandma call up to us telling us dinner is ready.

***After Dinner***

Roman and I were now laying in my bed watching Nightmare Before Christmas, and I was starting to grow sleepy. Right now we were at the part when Jack is singing the song What's This and Roman was softly singing along. The last thing I remember before drifting off to sleep was Roman kissing me on my forehead and whispering 'goodnight.'
