~~ a month later ~~

"Boo" Richie said as he grabbed my shoulders shaking me from behind, which caused me to back kick him in the gut. "Oh my god! Rich I'm so sorry" I said as he fell to the ground, I heard Eddie and Billy laughing in the background.
"Oh god Laura" Richie said as I hovered over top of him trying not to laugh. "My gut... my gut!!!!!" He said trying to be dramatic.
"Oh poor baby" I said hugging him as an apology, I stood up and sat beside Beverly who was reading something.

"what's that?" I asked peeking over her shoulder. "Some poem that was in my locker" she said, "Read it" Richie begged, "probably some nerd who wants to get in your pants" Richie added as he sat on my lap causing me to grunt.

"Your hair is winter fire,

My heart burns there too."
She read, I immediately new Ben wrote it, I saw him looking over with some blush forming on his cheeks, I winked at him and smiled and put him my pinky to let him know I wouldn't say anything.

"Hey guys!" Stan called as he got to the top of the rock, "Stan the man!" Richie called out doing a small handshake, I have to admit, my friends were pretty cute, but Eddie and Stanley were the kindest to me out of the guys.. they just, understand me?

The guys did they spit contest, as Beverly and I planned to jump on 2 of the guys causing them to fall in with us, "I've got Billy, you get Stan" Bev said as the guys were at the edge arguing about who won the contest.
"It's about mass, I'm with Eddie" I said walking up casually, Eddie gave Richie a look like 'haha I won' kind of thing. Then I slowly backed up to where Bev was "so who's going first" mike said, "n-not me" Billy looked over the edge.

Bev gave me the signal, then we ran jumping onto Stanley's & Billy's backs pushing them in with us "We will!" I said on the way down laughing.
We hit the water and my legs started to kick to get me to the surface, "that w-was not nice" Billy said, not helping but to start laughing.
"Hey where's Stan?" I said starting to kick in circles, as I was short, causing me to be a weak swimmer, "oh my god where is he" I said starting to panic "DID YOU KILL STAN?" Bev yelled at me, my eyes got heavy as I struggled to keep myself up, panicking.

The others jumped in, I grabbed a hold of Richie to keep myself up, then felt hands wrap around my wait pushing me up, throwing me through the air. "STanLeY!" I yelled as I hit the water, laughing and swimming back over to him.

"Lemme on" I said grabbed his shoulders and wrapping myself onto him so I didn't need to make my legs tired. "You're lucky you're a weak swimmer" Richie said, "or I would be so attacking you right now" he added as he then climbed onto mikes shoulders to Chicken Fight with Beverly.

I felt a sharp pain where my cuts still healing from a month ago, during that rock fight.
"Ouch" I said rubbing the scar, "again?" Stan said as he swam us over to where I could touch. "Yeah" I sighed, I stepped onto a rock that was half out of the water, and climbed up and sat on it while I rubbed my head.
I watched Richie win the chicken fight, then Beverly win against Ben, and then Stan and Eddie.

"What's up sugar?" Richie said grabbing his glasses he had around his shirt, "nothinggg" I said and wiped them off for him since I was dried up a bit. "So, Bev and Ben huh?" He said, I got confused for a second and clued in,
"I mean, I ship it" I said side tracked as I watched Eddie make sure his cast was secure in the baggie. "Did you know Greta wrote loser on his cast" I said, with a pissed off voice.
Richie then looked in his lap, "oh, enough about that" I said changing the subject.

"What about we hangout tonight?" I took his arm and moved the hair out of my face, "just us" he said, "yeah, we need to catch up.. since summer started I've been hanging around Stan, Eddie and Bev a lot.. need to spend some time with the funniest guy" I said nudging him, making him chuckle. "Sure" he said, "now cmon" he said lifting me and throwing me into the water.

"Uh come on Richie! I was dry!" I frowned and crossed me arms.

~ an hour later ~
"I'll be at your house for 5?" Richie asked as we all dried off and picked up the bikes.
"Yeah sure!" I smiled, then hugged Bev. She gave me a 'what's that?' Look. "Call you tonight" I whispered to her.
"Climb a board" Eddie said, I stepped on the pegs of his bike and headed home, since I don't have a bike of my own yet.
