"I know you're upset," Bryan said, nudging my arm. "But you don't have to ignore me." We were still in the car. It didn't take long to get my house, but Bry still hadn't let us out yet.
I didn't take my eyes off the window. My eyes glanced over the house and the lawn and the pretty blue sky. A small grin graced my lips. Nature was so beautiful. I wish I could that beautiful someday.
"Wesley." He called. I hummed in reply. I wasn't in the talking mood. I just wanted a little quiet time. "Can you tell me what's going on?" He sighed when I didn't respond.
"Please." I turned a little in my seat so I could face him. I pouted at the worried look I saw. "I'm fine see." I said, giving him a small smile. "Wow." He shook his head. "I didn't know we lied to each other."
Before I could say anything, he hopped out of the car. I felt tears prick my eyes as I saw him march angrily to the front door. I sniffed, trying to keep the tears at bay.
I got out the car, rushing to where Bry was standing by the door. "Took you long enough." I heard him mumble under his breath. I ignored it and unlocked the door.
I immediately headed up the stairs to my bedroom. I made sure to close the door before hopping on the bed. I grabbed my favorite teddy bear that I keep next to the pillows, cuddling it into my chest.
"Everyone's so mean, teddy, " I spoke into the room. "I just want friends. Why is it always so hard?" I let out a sob by accident. I bit my lip to keep more from coming out, but I whimpered instead. "I just want people to like me, teddy, but I always drive them away."
I sniffed before continuing. "What did I do? I just-" A knock sounded at the door, making me jump. I rushed to wipe my eyes but the tears keep coming. I soon gave up and laid down with a sigh. The bear still tight in my grip.
The door creaked open. "West?" I heard a sigh before the bed shifted. "I'm sorry." I just laid there, hoping he would go away. "I just want to know what's wrong." He placed a hand on my ankle and I moved from the touch.
He sighed again. "Sorry." I didn't respond and the room went into silence. I held Teddy close to my chest as I started crying again. I don't wanna talk or be touched, especially by such a meanie like Bryan.
"Do you wanna watch cartoons?" He suggested. I turned towards him slowly. "Which cartoon?" I mumbled. My voice was rough and scratchy after all my crying. "Elmo." He said with a small smile. "Okay."
His smile grew. He soon got up to get the remote. He changed the channel to PBS and I squealed into teddy. "Thank you." I said softly. He gave me another smile before getting up and heading for the door.
"Where are you going?" I said with a pout. He may be mean but he's still my best friend. "I can't go home yet so I was gonna watch tv downstairs." He shrugged.
"Oh." I was sad again. Yes, he was a butt today but I didn't want him to leave. We always watch cartoons together. "Shit, west." He was back on the bed, rubbing my back. "Stop crying." I sniffed and raised a hand to my cheek. I was surprised when felt the tears rolling down them.
"I can stay as long as you want." I nodded, laying down to face the tv. The bed shifted and I felt a presence against my back. I immediately froze. "Is this okay?" He whispered. I couldn't say anything.
I whimpered, trying to shake my head. "Alright. Um, I- Can we-" He scrambled as he moved away. I turned around and looked at him, wanting to see what he says.
His faced turned red and I gave him a confused pout. "It's nothing." He dismissed. "Sure?" I said with a yawn. A nap would do nicely right now. He looked hesitate to answer.
"Nap pile?" He said with a small grin. I giggled before coming closer to him. I snuggled into his neck, still holding teddy loosely in my arms. "I'll always nap pile with you, Bry."
