Reckless.

Chapter 9

  "Oh my God, what the hell happened?"
Sakura said while her and her friends rushed into the hospital. "Hi, we want to see Sasuke Uchiha, Neji Hyuga, and Naruto Uzumaki if it's possible. We're family of their's."
The receptionist looked at the partially drunk girls, who had surprisingly sobered up quickly, with one of her eyebrows rose. As she parted her lips Sakura interrupted her, "Okay, maybe it's obvious that we aren't related to them, but Hinata Hyuga is, and she wants to know how her brother is." Rolling her eyes, the pretty lady said, "Neji Hyuga is being examined for a head injury."

"And what about Naruto and Sasuke?"
Sakura asked, a little louder, making the redhead woman who was walking past them stop abruptly. "Hey, Sakura, Sasuke is in the ER, bed seven I think." Smiling at Kushina she said, "Thank you so much, how's your son?"

As she talked to her, Hinata tried to focus on sobering up enough to talk to her father that approached them. Seeing him, they all immediately smiled. "Hello." Hinata, TenTen, and Sakura said, while Kushina simply nodded in his direction, before saying to Sakura, "Don't worry, Sasuke will be fine." Sakura smiled at her, "And so will Naruto."
Hinata avoided eye contact with her crushes mother as she felt her gaze upon her.

It made her incredibly nervous to see his mother, and the fact that she was still drunk definitely didn't help. She was focusing so hard on trying not to appear drunk, that she didn't even hear her when Kushina told Sakura what was wrong with Naruto.
Before she got roped into a conversation with Hiashi, Sakura went off to search for Sasuke. "My God, here you are!" Sakura said, finally finding Sasuke in the full Emergency room. She almost let out a sigh of relief to see that he was relatively okay.

He was staring down at his wrapped up arm, while his mother sat next to the bed. "Hi, Mikoto, how is he?" She smiled, "He's good, just really loopy because they put him on pain medication for his arm, and he has a grade three concussion."
"God that's horrible, poor guy."
"Sakura?" He spoke, "Hi, I'm here." She said while smiling and placing her hand gently to his cheek. "She's my girlfriend." He said, making her blush and change the topic. "I wonder what happened, Sasuke didn't have even the slightest bit of alcohol, it couldn't of been his fault."

"Girlfriend?" He asked, while tapping her arm. She ignored him as his mom explained to her the situation. "The deputy just said that they swerved because a drunk driver was driving toward them." Sakura gasped, "God, this could've been a lot worse than just a broken arm. The hood of the car could've collapsed, or anything." Mikoto nodded, "Naruto and Neji pulled him out of the car just in time actually, those two had some serious injuries themselves, and they still saved him before anything too bad happened." She said, while tears came to her onyx eyes. Sakura smiled a little, "We all care a lot about him, I can't imagine doing anything differently."

"Ah, Sasuke. I'm glad you're okay." Sakura said, while running her fingers through his hair, bringing a smile to his lips. "I love you."
"Sasuke." She said while blushing, in an attempt to make him stop while looking at his mother. "I love you." He repeated, making Sakura scold him while smiling at his mother, "Stop saying that."

Hinata sat next to her Father, with a sleeping Hanabi against his shoulder. She had a hard time staying calm as she waited for an update on Neji. Although she assumed he wasn't severely injured, not being able to see him made her anxious. It didn't help her anxiety as she noticed that the only other family in the patient waiting area were Minato and Kushina. She had no reason to talk to them, but she felt like it was almost her job to reassure them.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Neji's doctor called for his family.

"Your son is perfectly fine, he just had to receive stitches for a linear skull fracture, which should heal on its own."
"Can we see him?" TenTen asked the doctor.
"Yes you all can, I'll show you to his room."
A sigh of relief left Hinata's lips, before she followed the doctor to her cousin's room. As soon as they walked through the glass door, Neji smiled at all of them.
