I wake up to Ruth "get up dads been blowing your phone up" Ruth says Dad: where are you Dad: time to bring Ruth home Dad: why aren't you responding Dad: I'm coming to find you I don't get done reading the last text till the door busts open to my dad "why weren't you answering my texts" dad says "I just woke up and why'd you burst my door open without nocking" I say madly "dad it's ok I'm fine" Ruth says "get in the car we're leaving and your not coming back" dad says pointing at Ruth gesturing her to leave "so what you let me meet my sister and now we never get to see each oth-" I say getting cut off my my dad leaving and slamming the door Me: ruth you call me if he starts yelling at you Ruth: to late Me: I'm coming down right now Ruth: hurry I start going down the elevator. When I get down to the parking lot I see my dad about to hit ruth "STOP this is how you treated me and I'm not gonna just let her grow up with the same childhood I did" I say getting Ruth out of his car "I'm gonna make you regret this" my dad says angrily driving off "are you ok" I ask ruth "yeah by the way what is your story" Ruth asks "let's go up to my apartment and then I'll tell you" I say going in the elevator, we get to my apartment and she sits down "ok so your dad left me and my mom when I was 4 I never seen him after that until the other day my mom would bring random men to our house and they would hurt me and rape me. When I turned 19 my mom kicked me out because I didn't want her to marry one of the men that would hurt me so we had a huge fight well when I went to this abandoned place waiting for a friend that had been through the same stuff, he raped me and cut my thigh and wrist deeply, that's when I heard Colbys voice tell him to get off of me then I blacked out and woke up to colby telling Sam to get in the room and I backed into the corner of that room, they called an ambulance to come and get me, it took me to the hospital and when I woke up colby was there and now we are bestfriends" I say "wow that's ... deep" Ruth says "yeah but I won that battle" I say

I went over to Karrah's apartment and she was talking with Ruth I didn't want to interrupt so I stayed outside of the door, I hear the talking stop so I knock on the door "can I came in" I say "yeah you can come in" karrah says "anybody wanna go to Starbucks" I ask "yeah sure I'm driving" karrah says "whatever" I say "what do you want ruth" karrah says "a tall pink drink" Ruth says "ok", we go back to Karrah's apartment and just watch tv for the rest of the day "I'm gonna go over to my apartment" I say "hey I'm gonna come with you because ruth is asleep and I don't have anything else to do" karrah says. We go to my apartment "hey what were you and Ruth talking about when I came over" I ask "she said she had never heard my story so I told her because her dad just tried to hurt her and I don't want her to grow up the same way I did so I took her out of the car and back up to my apartment" karrah says "your a good sister even though you guys just met" I say staring at karrah "thanks...I'm gonna go home i should probably go to bed" karrah says "ok...well I'll see you tomorrow" I say kissing her.
KARRAHS POV
I go home and in the middle of the night I hear the glass on my door break "hello?" I say. I just "HELP" I hear ruth yell as I run into the living room to see my dad dragging her out of my apartment "get off of her" I say pushing my dad "let go of me" ruth says "let go dad" I yell "she shouldn't be here" my dad says "well it's a lot better than your house were you probably beat her" I say "I won't let her grow up the way I did" I say getting ruth to go to my bed room and lock the door "you don't have the right to hurt her" I yell "yes I do she's my daughter" he says "no you don't so you need to get out of here and I never wanna see you again" I say pointing to the door "GET OUT" I say sobbing "fine" he says leaving. I lock the door "you can come out now ruth" I say "he was going to hurt me" she says crying "it's ok he's gone I'm not ever gonna let him hurt you" I say holding her "I know what it feels like and no one should ever have to go through something like that" I say. I call the police and report a break in. They come and ask who it was and I tell them "it was my dad gorge" I say "and what was he trying to do" they ask "trying to hurt ruth my sister" I say "can we talk to ruth" they ask "yeah sure" I say telling ruth to come in "ruth did your dad try to hurt you" they ask "yeah he tried to hit me yesterday and this time he tried dragging me out of here by my ankles" she says "and why was he trying to get you" they ask "he told me he wanted me to meet my big sister which is karrah and spend the day with her while he went to my other moms wedding" she says "we spent the day together and at the end of the day I asked if she could stay the night at my place and he said yes but the next morning he was blowing my phone up with texts telling me he was coming to get ruth he came in really mad and told ruth to go out to the car so he could talk to me but then I got a text from ruth telling me that he was about to hurt her in the car so I went outside and saw him hitting her so I took her out of the car" I say "ok that's all the info we needed if we catch him we'll call you" they say
COLBYS POV
I went to Karrah's house and she told me that her dad broke into her house and tried to kidnap her sister "do you think it's time to tell her that we're dating" I ask "yeah we can tell her today" karrah says. "Hey ruth me and Colby have something to tell you" karrah says "we're dating" I say "I know" ruth says "uhhh what you already knew" karrah asks surprised "yeah you guys do everything together" ruth says "yeah I guess your right" I say "oh and also the cops called and said they caught dad but I'm gonna have to take care of you for a couple of months" karrah says "so get your big butt up bitch we going shoppin" karrah says grabbing her keys "I'm gonna stay here" I say "ok but we're getting chik-Fil-a so..." karrah says "in that case I'm am gonna go with you" I say
KARRAHS POV
We go to chick-fil-a and Colby get his burritos and I just get some chicken nuggets and Ruth gets a burger then we all go to the beach after that we go to the mall and Ruth gets a bunch of clothes "you ready to go home" I ask "yeah let's go" Colby and Ruth say, when we get home ruth goes into the guest room and goes to sleep while me and Colby watch tv in my bed room "I wanna pick a movie" Colby says "ok" I say handing him my laptop
COLBYS POV
After I pic the movie "rim of the world" we get half way through it and then I realize karrah fell asleep so I turn off her computer and start to get out of bed and walk to my apartment I feel karrah grab my wrist softly "can you stay with me" she says tiredly "yeah I'll stay" I say getting back into the bed "doesn't ruth have school tomorrow" I ask "yeah I'm gonna drive her" karrah says. "Karrah get up its time for school" I hear ruth saying "I don't wanna go to school" karrah says "not you, me" ruth says laughing "fiiiine, what do you want for breakfast I'm gonna postmates something" karrah says pulling out her phone "ummm McDonald's pancakes" ruth says. We sit down on the couch till the postmates gets there and we eat "you ready to go ruth" karrah says "I wish I wasn't but I am" ruth says getting up
KARRAHS POV
I'm driving ruth to school and it takes about 45 minutes which I didn't expect. When ruth gets out I drive off and go home when I get a text from Colby Colby: you wanna go to the beach Karrah: ohh yeah let me get ready Colby: ok I'll be over there in about 30 minutes Karrah: ok see you then I go to my bathroom and put on a white bikini and a grey hoodie like cover up

And then I hear a nock on the door it's Colby "you ready biotch" Colby says "yes let's go biotch" I say "which car do you wanna take" Colby says "let's take yours" I say "ok let's go" Colby says. We get to the beach and lay down a towel then I feel Colbys arms pick me up and throw me into the ocean but I grab his wrist and pull him in with me, we get out of the water and lay on the towel then I realize I have to go pick up ruth "we gotta go I have to go get ruth from school" I say "ok then let's go" Colby says
