Sherlock isn't great at consistently being affectionate however sometimes after solving a case, he can have a quick change in attitude and end up giving you a passionate kiss. He is very aware that he isn't the best at showing you how much he loves you so he also makes sure to keep up with the smaller things too. Meaning lots of hugs and forehead kisses, especially if he hasn't seen you while he's been away on a case.

John Watson isn't the best when it comes to showing his emotions towards you but when he does it's usually expressed through a heated kiss after an argument or a slow and soft one that can often come from nowhere. Hand holding is also a common way of him showing you that he's there for you no matter what.
