It had been over a week since Bon and I's "encounter" and the same amount of time since I'd seen his face. Tonight I was supposed to see him, but I declined. I guess Malcolm wanted to treat us to wings again, but Bon's presence alone would make my appetite for pretty much everything disappear completly. Being nervous does that to me.
So instead, Adelaide and Melody came over. Franky was out with the boys, I'm pretty sure he was crushing on Bon. Oh Franky.
"I'm out. I'm meeting Phil. Sorry guys. Business." Adelaide said and I sighed heavily. It wasn't long before she made a casual and swift exit. The front door to my house closed with a quick slam, I took a sip of wine as a form of comfort.
"I know she ain't living up to your expectations." Melody hesitantly said as she took a glass of wine for herself. I knew that I couldn't control Adelaide's shenigans, and that was a real pain in the ass. "C'mon aren't we supposed to have fun tonight?"
"I just got alot on my mind Melody." She lit up a cigerette, soon the smell of smoke filled the room. I watched her take long drags off of it as I continued my confession like she was a Catholic priest.
When you have a best friend like Melody McDonald, you quickly learn that her way of helping you out with extreme stress that was borderline a crisis, wasn't particulary healthy. But for tonight I decided I'd go with it. My mind was spinning too fast to make descions for myself anways. About an hour into the party, Melody was intoxicated, and all the guys and...girls even were all over her as she performed suggestive acts.
A couple of those present in that crowd tried to get me to do the same. I declined, flipped my hair at them and stormed away, that was when Melody pulled me aside to deliver some undesirable news. Before she got completely serious, she zipped her dress back fully up so it wouldn't fall down on her.
"Look uh.. the band is at this party. I saw Franky here too, but he went to hit on the drag queen." Melody said and gave me a smirk once she noticed me laying eyes on the group of men about three meters away. Damnit! I was shaking, and soon enough Malcolm and Angus would start intarigating me about the reason behind my unusual behaviour.
"HEY MY GIRLS!" Melody forgot to mention Adelaide had made an appearance as well. She was high as a kite and with every cocaine filled word she screeched out, more heads were turning in our direction.
"Angela? What are you doing here?" Malcolm asked as he and Angus made their way towards us. I let out a heavy sigh as Melody pursed her lips, looking all around which was a giveaway to Malcolm that she had something to do with me being present at a complete shithole.
"Are you ready for your dance?" Melody slurred and leaned into him. I shrieked, pushing her away and she pouted. Malcolm only nervously laughed, remaining light hearted about the akward situation.
"Not tonight Melody. Some lucky man will be though." He winked at her and she let out a giggle, I had to admit it was rather cute. I cringed at my thoughts, they were drowned in whisky and wine, so they were easily pushed aside.
Melody winked at him back, then took her sexual energy to the sea of horny people gathered around a cloud of marijuana smoke.
"This doesn't really seem like your scene Angela." Malcolm said honestly. He was right, I hated parties, and I appeared to be a straight edge regular church goer to an outsider looking in.
"I just needed to work out some stuff okay?" I answered as I struggled to swallow some particulary strong whisky. I hiccuped before it went down, I couldn't help but hold my chest.
"C'mon sis." Angus threw his arm around me, walking with me in another direction. "I'll get you some water or somethin' hunny."
"Yeah that sounds great." I hiccuped my words out again, Angus sighed as he poured me a pure glass of water. It went down easier then all the other substances I'd made my throat suffer through.
"Hey uh...we could get a milkshake or something at the diner across the street. You know, the one with the Elvis and Buddy records."
"I...wouldn't mind." I tripped on my feet as I tried to find a way out, but I was too drunk to succeed.
"Sit down sis. I'll be back just gotta go to the bathroom." Angus said, soon he disipeared into the darkness. I saw Bon. He wasn't that far from me, it made me sick to see him with another blonde, who was all over him and I just knew he had every intention of screwing her. Infront of me?
I don't really know why, but I couldn't look away from them. I continued to watch them until Bon and I made eye contact. As soon as that happend, I saw him whisper something in the girls ear, and she became angry and left. Cause and effect, now he was walking over to me.
"Bon...." I said with a nervous smile, he returned one back, then my legs felt like jello again.
"Why have you been avoiding me?" He genuinely asked me. I was tounge tied, I didn't know how to give him the honest answer. I knew now with the right look and timing he could make me completly fall to my knees for him.
"I haven't." I mumbled. Angus hurry up. "What happend to the groupie?"
"She wasn't a groupie."
"Mhm."
"The point is I saw another girl I'd rather be with. Besides, me and you have some things to work out." He growled as he looked me up and down. And I felt those same hot flashes. I couldn't help but blush.
"Bon." I said with gritted teeth. I bit at my lip, attempting to resist the desires for him to touch me.
"Hey guys." Angus said as he walked in the room. "Ready to go Angela?"
"Yeah." I replied quickly, being sure to shoot Bon a a grin before I made my exit.
He says I'm a teaser?
Well he's right.
