The eerie vibes given from the weather were similar to the night Franky died. Adelaide had wanted to converse with me about some confusing feelings she'd come across. I agreed to her request, so now we stood underneath an abandoned train bridge, shaking from the cold rain.

"Do you know if Melody still has feelings for Cliff?" Adelaide asked, and I shrugged. Honestly, she hasn't talked about Cliff romantically in quite some time, so I had about the same amount of information Adelaide did.

"So how's that going? You know, you two together?" She lit up a cigerette to my question, blowing smoke in the air as she let out a heavy sigh, preparing me for a simple answer.

"Not good. There's no trust there." She let out a scream as she stomped her cigerette to the ground. "There's alot of stuff you don't see Angela."

"You don't have to protect me from the details... what's happening?"

"She's always asking where I'm going when I leave..."

"She knows you're with Phil."

"God Angela I've told you one million times I'm not fucking him."

"It only takes one long hour of observing to know something is going on."

According to Adelaide, she had restrained from talking to Phil for at least a week. She was focused on improving her relationship with Melody. Bon and I couldn't be happier, and the shame that I felt about moving on after being a widow had finally subsided.

For the first time in a long time, the future seemed to hold promise.
