Chapter 4

---Jess’ POV---

‘A dark-grey wolf bounded through the lush green forest, taking in the different scents that clung to the air before it spun around and chased a few rabbits. I smirked slightly at the silly behavior before I frowned.

Why was I watching a wolf?

And why am I in a forest?

More importantly ,

Am I dreaming?

The wolf bounded off, making me see the world through its eyes while it weaved through the thick forest, dodging trees and branches, leaping over the occasional rock before it halted to a slow step and made it’s way to a stream.

I followed it, sniffing the air of the fresh grass up while I looked around. A few bugs fled out of the grass when the wolf neared the stream and I giggled when I noticed a small red blotch clinging on the strand of fur. Looks like the wolf had a ladybug as a passenger.

The wolf snickered  before it shook its fur out, making the ladybug to loose its grip and fly away. Cute, The grey wolf snorted with laughter before he stepped closer to the stream.

He happily lapped the water up before its ears prick up in the air. He looked up at the hill on the other side of the stream, almost as if he heard something. A smaller, completely white wolf walked over the hill. It shook its fur, causing a few leaves to swirl to the ground.

The white wolf noticed us, giving us a look before it raised its muzzle to the air to release a howl. Somehow, I felt…something for this wolf. There was a connection between us. As if I know it..

The wolf calmly walked down, much to the enjoyment of the grey wolf. The white wolf stopped its movements to look at the grey wolf before they both howled simultaneously. Each voice complementing the other. I felt myself step closer to this white wolf, and when it lowered its head to look at me, I froze.

It was looking at me with piercing green eyes, a small rim of deeper green/black around them. My eyes.’

I woke up, yawning and stretching my sore limbs. Snuggling deeper into the warm, comforting place I was, I sighed before my mind kick started and started spinning out of control.

That guy at the food court who came towards us, demanded me while I was too busy ogling at him. Then Jace’s face when he reached out to me…and then darkness.

My eyes shot open while I jolted upright before I blinked, confused.

Why couldn’t I see a thing? I blinked again and noticed that my eyes started adapting to the darkness that surrounded me. I started looking around for clues, for any sign to tell me where I was.

I could see the silhouette of three different doors from the…bed? Yep, I was sitting on a bed, a soft and comfy one at that. I glanced around and turned my head when I noticed a light source softly illuminating the walls and the light on the ceiling. It was an alarm clock, just clicking on 11:38 am.

Wow, I slept that long? But, where am I? I don’t recognize this place…Wait, what’s that noise? Someone’s breathing! Someone else is in here!  I held my breath in shock, panicking while I though about the chance that someone was in this room with me.

No more breathing… I sighed and took a relieved breath, hearing the other person do the same. Wait a sec… I held my breath again and the other breathing sound stopped… That’s me!
