Adam woke me up by flipping my mattress making me fall off the bed. We had our first Duck practice, and I'd be lying if I said I'm not nervous. We went to school and it went slower than I would've liked it especially in the classes with some Hawks and Ducks. Connie, Tammy, and Tommy were the only nice ones to me in class out of the Ducks, even thought Tammy and I were already friends before and Tommy knew my as a person and not a Hawk. Tammy, Tommy, and I even figure skated as kids to last year together. When school finished I went to Adam's and we did our homework then his mom took us to practice. We walked into the locker room and everyone started at us then my dad walked in.

Gordon: Okay team you all know Adam Banks and Y/n Riley Bombay

Averman: Riley Bombay

Gordon: Yes she's my daughter

Jesse: Putting on a Ducks jersey doesn't mean you're a real Duck

You: Looks like the Ducks have their own Hawk

Gordon: Hey play nice you two

Jesse: Whatever

The Ducks walked out then Adam and I put our gear on. Banks 99 and Riley-Bombay 13 I couldn't be happier seeing both my parents names on my jersey and I think Adam saw. During practice when we scrimmaged no one passed to Adam or I. Player #9 Hall kept chucking me so I chucked him back, I don't think we're going the best of friends. So it turns out #9 is Jesse and he never lets his twin Terry talk, especially to Adam or I, talk about controlling. Tammy and I were messing around figure skating and I ended up skating into Jesse.
Jesse: Hey watch where you're skating Hawk
You: Hey watch your mouth Duck
We almost got into a fight but Adam, Tammy, Tommy and Connie held me back while Charlie, Peter, Terry, and Goldberg held back Jesse. Dad and Averman came over and Dad yelled at us while Averman made jokes about it. Lets just say Jesse and I aren't allowed to practice against each other now. Charlie and Peter skated up to me during a water break talking to me and Adam looked pissed. Practice went on of a bit longer and dad made Jesse and I talk in a room, great idea right.
Gordon: You two will be in here until you learn to play nice
You: What is your problem with me
Jesse: What's my problem with you um I don't know maybe the years of bulling you put me and my team thought
You: So your going fight fire with fire still very smart
Jesse: Don't just sassy with me
You: I'm not I'm just stating the facts
Jesse: Yea whatever Hawk
You: Not a Hawk
Jesse: Why
You: What
Jesse: Why did you bully us was it because all the other Hawks did because your dad was gone because of your grandfather
You: Um it's because I grew up with people telling me to never let anyone make fun of me and make fun of them first and the Ducks are just dolls needing someone to use them I guess it's because my mom never had the chance to tell me otherwise I'm sorry
Jesse: What happened to your mom
You: She died
Jesse: Oh I'm sorry my mom died too she told me to look after Terry as if my life depended on it
You: Well you're doing an amazing job your mom would be proud of you and Terry
Jesse: Thanks I'm sure your mom is happy to see the beautiful girl her daughter is now
You: T-thanks
Jesse and I hugged with some tears coming down our faces, I guess this will be a beautiful friendship. We left the room and dad drove us all home. Adam and I went to his house because his house was before mine. I hugged my dad and Jesse before leaving the van then walked in the house with Adam looking at me like I had 6 heads. I told Adam everything that Jesse and I talked about while falling asleep. The last thing I remember saying to Adam was you could have some competition in best friend slot night.
