Standing Strong

---Sabrina's POV---
After all the filming we did, I arrived home, having escaped the night. That's a first in my family if you ask me. Well, I died, then I resurrected. At least I didn't have to witness whatever happened to River. Nobody told me what occured.

"Mama Ro?!" I called out. "Mama J?!" Abby was at the kitchen table, editing one of Mama Ro's videos. Abby looked up.

"Hey." Abby stated. "Your moms both went out for a bit. How was filming?"

"Good." I replied. "What's Mama Ro's new video?"

"I think it's the story of her relationship with your Mama J." Abby stated. "She's mentioned so many things about you, me, that trip to New York, the breakup back in '21. It's like I'm reliving it." Abby clicked on a couple things. Suddenly, Abby's phone rang. Abby picked it up, and pressed ignore.

"What was that?" I asked. Abby sighed.

"Might as well tell someone." Abby stated.

"What?" I asked.

"When your Mama Ro hired me," Abby stated. "I was two weeks pregnant with a baby boy. I didn't tell anyone outside of my parents. Not even your Mama Ro. I have that kind of body that just made it look like I was gaining a bit of weight. In February of 2021, I'd given him up for adoption. I didn't think I'd see him again until recently."

"How recent?" I asked. Abby sighed.

"Brynn's boyfriend." Abby stated. "That's my son. He has my eyes and his father's face. I knew it was him the moment I laid eyes on him." I gasped.

"That's why you looked so uncomfortable." I stated. "You knew he was your son."

"Please don't repeat this to anyone." Abby stated. "I beg of you." I nodded. Suddenly, I heard the door open.

"Mama Ro!" I called out. "Mama J!" Mama J ran in.

"There's my girl!" Mama J cheered. She ran over and hugged me. Mama Ro walked in.

"How long were you home?" Mama Ro asked.

"I just walked in." I replied. Mama Ro walked over and hugged me.

"Well," Abby stated. "Most of the first 10 minutes of this video is done. The other 25 will need to be done tomorrow. I'll see you guys later." I waved.

"Good night Abster." Mama J said.

"Good night Abby." Mama Ro stated. Abby waved to us and walked out.

"So?" Mama J asked. "What happened?" I giggled.

"You'll have to wait to find out in June." I teased. Mama J and Mama Ro hugged me.

"We're so proud of you." Mama Ro stated.

"I love you both." I stated.

"We love you too." Mama J stated. I yawned.

"Tired?" Mama Ro asked.

"Five nights of non-stop filming really does a number on you." I stated. "I'm going to bed. Good night."

"Good night." Mama J and Mama Ro said at the same time. I made my way upstairs. Once in my room, I plop down on my bed and drifted off to sleep.

---Lucas' POV---
"If you like that video," I said to the camcorder. "Be sure to press that like button and comment down below. If you aren't yet subscribed, you can do so down below, turn on that notification bell. And I will see you in the next video. Buh-bye!" I pressed off. I sighed and slumped down into my chair. No matter what, I can never seem to get to dad's level. The loyal subscribers love it, but bringing in new people expecting to see Mark, not Lucas, seem disappointed in what they see. I get that I am not my dad, but they don't understand that. There was a knock at the door. It was Dani. She gave up her YouTuber dreams to help me run the channel, despite my protests. She's like our mom. Kind of stubborn.

"Hey," Dani stated. "Dinner's ready. I made hamburgers and sweet potato fries. Your favourite." I sighed

"I'll be there in a minute." I stated. Dani walked over and placed her hand on my shoulder.

"Dad would of been proud of you." Dani stated. "You're trying. That's all dad would ask of you."

"I know," I stated. "But I feel like my efforts are getting us nowhere." I groaned, slamming my head on the keyboard. No wonder why dad was always so tired. All that stress got to him.

"It wasn't easy for dad either." Dani stated. "But he didn't give up and you shouldn't either." I looked over at my sister.

"You're right." I sighed. Dani took her hand off my shoulder.

"Now come on," Dani stated. "Dinner's getting cold."

At the dinner table, Dani and I were eating and talking when the doorbell rang. I got up to answer it. It was Rosanna and Justine.

"Hi," I stated. "What brings you two here? Doesn't Sabrina come home tonight?"

"Yeah," Ro replied. "But Dani's concerned about you."

"Really?" I asked.

"You seemed discouraged." Justine stated.

"And we have something for you." Ro stated, handing me an envelope. I took it and looked at it.

"What-" I went to ask.

"You dad wrote this when he found out about you." Ro stated. "When he found out about the cancer, he changed it up a bit, printed it, then handed it off to me knowing you're taking over once he dies."

"He knew you'd go through a rough patch." Justine stated.

"We thought we'd give this to you." Ro stated.

"Thanks." I said. Ro and Justine waved and walked away. I closed the door and walked into the living room. I opened up the envelope and began to read.

Dear Lucas,

If you are reading this, chances are you got discouraged by the channel and the cancer has won. First off, I'd like to apologize for not doing enough to help you before you took over. I know it will be hard at times to maintain the channel. I get that. I've lived that. However, I know that you can do it. I believe in you. The rest of this note is from the day I found out about you, just in case you are confused.

Today, your mom and I found out about you, my child. Yes, I am scared to become a dad. I am scared that I won't become a good father to you. However, at the same time, I cannot wait to see the man or woman you will become. I know things won't be easy for you. However, I promise I will be there for every step of the way. No matter what happens, I will be there whether in person or in your heart.

I love you. No matter what.

I place the letter down and began to cry.

I miss you dad.
