I would give you the sun
If I was tall enough,
Even if it burnt me down to the soul
I would wrap it up gently
And carry it to you
While my flesh melted, and burned
It would be okay though
Cause I would see your smile glow in it's light
And I would be fine
I would give you the moon
If I was gentle enough,
Enough to grasp it lightly, so as to not disturb the dust
I would put a bow of stars on it
And bring it to you
Even when my fingers turned blue from freezing
It would be okay though
Cause you would smile at it's imperfections
And I would be fine.
