I'm screaming
I'm crying
I'm silent.
As long as I'm smiling, I'm fine.
Behind closed doors,
Behind my mask,
No one knows the torment I'm in.
I'm fine as long as I'm smiling.
I paint it on,
Carve it on,
However I can.
My mind is too loud
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!"
I scream to myself.
Willing my mind to be silent.
But, silence can be worse.
Silence is numbness.
But as long as I smile,
I'm fine...
