I loved
Too much, too fast, all at once
You loved
Too slow, not enough, nothing ever
We were a preteen vow
In the bus parking lot
Till the bell did us part.
Looking back on it now it's funny
How I chased you.
How I couldn't move on from our on and off relationship.
I wanted us to be a secret
But told everyone I knew.
So in the end
Our end was my fault.
But I don't regret our final chapter.
Because I loved you
Too fast, too much, all at once
And you were
not enough, too slow, nothing at all.

Poems for Soft Hearts Full of Longing
PoésieThese poems discuss difficult topics that I or my friends have experienced in our lives. As some of my favorite poetry authors say ( Lovelace and Kaur) say "Practice self care before, after, and during reading these peoms."
