All this time is passing by
As I see you walking by.
Though, you never seem to notice me;
You never did to begin with.

I yearn for your warmth, your proximity
But the mere thought of intimacy
Strips me of all ability
To cavern out of my secrecy.

You're an established addiction,
One to quell my extinction.
Yet, I cannot consume you
Knowing others also use you.

I must step away
Before I'm led astray
By your claims when you may say:
"You're better than them anyway."

I'm returning home,
The one with a fallen gnome,
As I'm once again gradually mingling
With the boundless murk in my brittle soul.

All alone as I'm destined to be.
