Chapter 7: NARWHALS!!! <3

Kakashi's P.O.V

I blushed even more as Yumi leaned in. Her glazed eyes searched mine and seemed to be asking me a question.

I swallowed and leaned in along with her. Right when our masked lips were about to touch, I felt a cool hand touch my forehead.

"Kakashi, I think you have a fever. You're burning up." Yumi said, concerned.

I closed my eye and fell back onto the pillows. I needed a cold shower and better control.

"I'll be fine, Yumi. Don't worry about me" I said, giving her a close eye smile. At that moment, a nurse walked in with long blond hair and light gray eyes carrying a tray. On this tray were needles, medicines, gauze, and thread.

"Um.. what's that needle for..?" Yumi asked from beside me, looking a little.. afraid?

"Oh honey, this is what we're going to use to administer your medicine." the nurse said with a kind smile.

Yumi's tan face went white and her blue eyes grew in size. 

"Um.. I don't do needles.." she said softly, barely above a whisper.

"Well, honey, we have to give you this medicine or else you'll fight and resist us the whole time we're trying to stitch up your side.. again."

"But- I mean- Isn't there another way?!" Yumi asked, near hysterics. I reached over and grabbed her hand, giving her a reassuring squeeze. 

"Yumi, it'll be ok. I'm right here beside you. It'll all be fine."

"O.. Okay.." she muttered, closing her eyes and squeezing my hand. The nurse prepared the shot and before anyone could blink, had it stuck into Yumi's arm and already had it taken out.

"See? It wasn't that bad honey. Now you'll start to feel woozy, but that's normal. We'll be coming in soon to start fixing you up." The nurse said, then left with a smile.

"Yumi are you feeling ok?" I asked, looking over at the ravenette woman beside me. I almost laughed at the sight. Yumi had her head leaned back against the pillows and she looked as though she was pointing at something on the ceiling.

"Kaka.. why is the earth moving, yet I'm still in the same spot...?" she asked lazily still staring at the ceiling.

"Maybe because you can't feel the earth move." I replied, knowing she wouldn't understand me.

"But I'm not moving. You're moving. The walls are moving. That narwhal is moving. WAIT. NARWHALS!! FUCKIN NARWHALS ARE ON THE CEILING!! KAKASHI LOOK AT THEM!! THEY'RE SO CUTE DANCING AROUND WITH THEIR LITTLE HOR---" was all Yumi got out before she passed out on the bed.

This woman is gonna be the death of me..

(A/N- I know it's short and I'm sorry :( but it will get a lot better, and Samika and Naruto are gonna be back in soon. Don't Stop Believin'! <3 My kitty cat, Cede, says hi :) BTW, I LOVE nolongerblissful <3 she's my homey and we're gonna go to therapy for our addiction to Silver Haired Ninjas :3 Ya'll should check out her stories.. all of them.
