"no matter where i go, i'm always gonna want you back, no matter how long you're gone, i'm always gonna want you back, i know you know i will never get over you."
☆
Izzy walks away from JJ and over to where John B stands, worriedly looking over at the troubled pair. John B shifts his lips to one side in question, "Are you okay?"
The girl nods, rubbing her temple, faking a laugh he could see right through, "My head hurts."
"None of this is your fault, Izzy."
Izzy turns to glance at JJ who's turned in the opposite direction, trying to take his mind off the conversation.
"I just needa think", she states.
John B pats her back, "You'll figure it out, take your time. There's no rush." Then he motions to JJ to come over to continue their mission in the motel.
"Thanks JB." Izzy walks ahead, giving the two boys a little time.
JJ drags himself over with his hands in his pockets, deep in thought. "You good dude?" John B asks his friend— who seems slightly disturbed.
"Huh what? Uh yeah, I'm good. We're good." The boy brightly instantly smiles, as if nothing had occurred beforehand.
John B sighs, "Give her time JJ."
His smile immediately fades, "I made a mistake. I think I pushed her over the line."
"She's confused, but she'll come around." John B momentarily slings his arm around his shoulders, reassuring him.
JJ chuckles and smiles again, "Yeah. Let's go find that room." He walks ahead of him, suddenly eager to discover the whereabouts of where the motel key would lead.
JJ was the type of person to turn to humor or comedy as a coping mechanism. Whenever he was in pain or internally suffering from anything, he never broke down or cried, he always found a way to crack a joke. This was to hide that fact that he was troubled on the inside. A mask.
"This is us boys! 229." Izzy announces, pointing to a door by the corner.
JJ skips over and leans his head towards the door. Knocking a random beat onto the metal he says in a high pitched voice, "Housekeeping!"
