Raven got to her feet, with the help of slash, and gazed around. She seemed to have slipped through the letters in the story, and landed in Slash's era. Here he stood before her, as real and solidly there as Raven herself. And beside him, Steven Adler. Raven was in shock to say the least. Could she ever get back? Where and when was she? How did all of this work? Would her family miss her? Did her family know she exsists? All of these questions circled in her head the way that the yellow stars spin around cartoon characters' heads when they're stunned.
"Hey, ugh- Raven, you look kinda dazed, you feeling okay?" Steven asked her.
"I- I feel- a little dizzy..." Raven stuttered. Steven put an arm around her midriff as she lifted her hand to hold her pounding head.
He began to pull her towards a park bench about ten feet from the skate ramp. Raven felt the bile in her throat, and turned away from him quickly. She heaved up whatever was in her belly onto the cement. Steven chuckled nervously,
"Okay. Feelin' a bit sick."
"Sorry!" She groaned,
"'Sall right." Slash smiled in a comforting fashion, pushing her bike around the puddle of sick. He propped it up next to her.
"Um... we should take you home." Steven said.
"Where do you live?" Slash asked,
"I dunno."
"You don't know?!" Steven exclaimed,
"Of course she does, she's just being silly." Slash told Steven,
"At least tell us your last name, we might be able to figure it out that way." Slash said.
A name rang through her pounding head, making her dizziness worse.
'Cassel'.
"Cassel..." Raven said, not knowing what else to say.
"No way!" Steven said, excited.
"I reckon she's telling the truth." Slash saud slowly, as if questioning it, "dunno how come I never saw you around..." he said thoughtfully.
"C'mon, let's go, then!" Steve responded. Steven helped Raven back onto her red BMX, and Slash smiled reassuringly.
"We know the way, li'l lady!" He told her.
Raven looked him up and down. He was no taller then she! In fact he was a bit shorter.
"You're one to talk, li'l man!" She scoffed.
Slash just chuckled and kicked down the stand on hus black BMX bike. Steven wheeled a rubber tired scooter over.
Having already mounted, Raven peddled her red bike into motion. Slash took the lead, Steven rode next to Raven, and they made moderate speed as they took the road that ran next to the skate park. Raven realised that she must have some sort of family that she'd landed in. Cassel. That was the name she'd thought of when Slash asked her. It just came to her like some long-ingrained, temporarily forgotten memory. It felt right. She believed it to be true.
Raven Cassel. And Slash must hang around the Cassels, because he questioned why he never saw her around. Steven's reaction made Raven think that there was something special about that name. But what? Perhaps they were famous? Or maybe just one Cassel was. Raven didn't know.
