They became good friends after that.
It's starting to get cold as the Christmas seasons were approaching. Bokuto's outside Akaashi's window as usual.
"What's your wish for Santa, Akaashi?"
"It's the same wish from my birthday Bokuto-san!"
"Oh! I wish for that too!" Bokuto grins sheepishly.
"Huh? But you told me you wished for a daddy like mine, right?"
"Well, I figure I didn't need a daddy anymore because I have you and mama!" Bokuto reasons as he cross his fingers for Akaashi to believe him.
Bokuto's supposedly father is a big bastard who ran away from the responsibility of his own son, these were not the stories his mom tells him though, she tells him that his father is just at the other side of the world and had to work for different reasons, instead of saying he didn't want to be a father of their child and decides to leave them without explanations, she can't, it'll break Bokuto's huge heart.
"Hey, Akaashi, look over there, I just noticed something yesterday!" he points at the window in view from his house's second floor.
"What about it?"
"That's my room right there!" Bokuto runs out real fast and is now at the window, waving at Akaashi. He runs back, now panting.
"Whoo! That was tiring!" he complains, "Now see here, if you open your last curtain over there, I could definitely see your bed, a little, and that'll make me know that you're okay!"
"Soooo?" Akaashi asks, tilting his head to the side, "I should open it at night?"
"Yes! And always check when it's 9 pm okay?"
"Huh?"
"Because, we'll have to say goodnight by the window! Okay, Akaashi?"
"Oh, okay then, Bokuto-san."
8:54 pm
"Akaashi!" Bokuto yells from his window. It's a little far away but his voice makes it easier to hear, it's. so. loud. Akaashi opens his last curtain and gives Bokuto a little wave.
"Goodnight!" Bokuto yells, he got a little to excited, it's not even 9 pm yet.
Akaashi yells as loud as he can, "Goodnight Bokuto-san!"
