seven - tracked..almost

Jennie gasped, looking behind her. She held her chest and glared at the person.
"Taehyung, what did I tell you about scaring me!?" she snapped, her eyes piercing into his. He smiled and sat down next to her, patting her lap.
"I'm still helping, right?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. Jennie sighed and smiled, nodding her head.

"But I swear to god, if any of this plan's information gets out to Jungkook, I'll make sure you burn alive on a pole," Jennie warned, still glaring at him. Taehyung smirked.
"What type of pole?" he teased, winking. Jennie looked at him disgusted and left the room, cringing. Taehyung chuckled half-heartedly and smiled at her retreating figure.

Jennie closed the door and pressed her back against it, sliding down onto the floor and cupping her flushed cheeks.
"The damn-"
"Jennie?" someone asked, making her look up in fright. She instantly stood up and bowed, fixing her skirt.
"Sorry Mr Kim, I just went to go check on the test subjects and the air conditioner was turned off," Jennie said, gritting her teeth and looking down.

The man smiled and walked towards her.
"Come on Jennie, don't act so formal to me." he smiled, holding out his hand. She looked up again and gave him a small smile.
"Fine, whatever you say, Seokjin." she sighed, walking away before taking a glance at him. Jennie facepalmed herself and looked at Lalisa and Chaeyoung in the room, squealing and smiling. She smiled at them and they returned it ten times wider.

"I just need to make sure everyone's on board with it," she mumbled, staring at her phone.
"Onboard with what, Ms Kim?" a man asked from behind her, scaring the living soul out of her. She clutched her chest and stared at him, clearing her throat and standing straight.
"I- I apologise, Mr Jeon, I was going to visit Kim Jisoo in the ward." Jennie stuttered, mentally cursing herself.

"Alright, go on then," Jungkook said, raising his eyebrow and looking at her weirdly. Jennie let out a breath and walked towards the infirmary wards. She pushed open a glass door and unlocked the white door behind it. She opened it with a click and smiled at the girl inside.
"Jennie?" she asked, getting up from the bed and smiling at her. Jennie nodded and sat on the chair beside her bed.
"Is that you?" the girl said, not sparing a second to breathe.

 "So you're feeling better now, I suppose?" Jennie smiled, looking the girl up and down who smiled and nodded happily.
"When are we leaving?" she whispered to Jennie, sitting down back on the bed.
"Tomorrow, since you seem quite fine right now," Jennie replied, smiling internally at the sight of Jisoo.

Suddenly, Jisoo pouted and looked at Jennie, causing her to melt.
"Jen?" Jisoo asked, sighing, Jennie cooed at her and smiled, nodding.
"If we do escape, where would we go?" she finished, Jennie thought for a moment before smiling brightly.
"Taiwan. I have friends there that can take care of you guys." Jennie spoke, smiling foolishly.

Jennie sighed and put her hand on top of Jisoo's lap, smacking it lightly.
"You know if I do get caught and shot-"
"Shot?!" Jisoo whined, her eyes growing wide, but shrunk when Jennie quietly shushed her.
"Anyways, if I do, you know what my last wish would be?" she said with a thin-lipped smile.
Jisoo tilted her head, causing Jennie to melt once more.
"I want all of you to return safely, please, if any of you get caught. I'll always find a way." she smiled once more, booping Jisoo's nose.

Jennie sighed and stood up, flattening her skirt.
"Chief Jeon is off on a business trip to Wales tomorrow and everyone's in it for the plan. Don't worry, alright? I'll come back and pick you girls up." Jennie spoke, clutching onto her purse that lay on her hip. Jisoo smiled and walked after Jennie back into the room.

T H E  N E X T  D A Y

The sun barely rose when a small tapping noise came from the glass of the padded room.
Chaeyoung rubbed her eyes and looked at Jennie's dark silhouette and smiled, tapping the two girls awake who silently groaned. She tilted her head towards the window and smiled, all of them waiting by the door. Jennie snuck around and silently swung the door open and hugged all of the girls.
"Don't worry, all of the cameras are off," she whispered, bringing the girls towards her office. She opened the door and threw them some clothes.

"Change here, I won't look," Jennie said, smiling and sitting on a chair, her back facing them. The girls changed and Lalisa patted Jennie's back, smiling at her when she turned around. She did a 'follow me' sign with her hand and tip-toed out of the room, grabbing her purse and slinging it over her shoulder. The three girls silently cheered and held each other's hands tightly.

They made their way into the parking lot and the three girls sat in the back, attempting to hide. Jennie watched them through the mirror and grinned, starting the engine.
"Make sure to stay ba- Oh god..." Jennie cursed, panicking. Lalisa looked at her, worried and held Chaeyoung and Jisoo closer than before.
"What's wrong?" Lalisa whispered, hiding her face in Jisoo's shoulder.

"Chief Jeon is going to the same airport as us. We'll have to drive to another, last minute." Jennie sighed, carefully banging her head on the steering wheel as she drove faster.
"Wait, didn't you know that Jungle- what was his name? Jungcok?" Lalisa started, thinking halfway, earning laughs from the girls around her.
"Jungkook." Jennie corrected, snickering.

"Yeah, I knew that." Lalisa sassed, rolling her eyes.
"Anyways, did you know that he would come the same time as us?" she continued, resting her head on Chaeyoung's head which rested on her shoulder. Jennie hummed in response a 'no' and the three girls nodded. Jisoo pouted and rested her head on Lalisa's shoulder, feeling left out. They all squealed, excluding Jennie, and hugged each other tightly, not letting go.

"Guys," Jennie said sternly, looking through her mirror. Jisoo looked at her and hummed in response.
"Stay down there, Jeon's car is behind here. He's been following us," she said, gritting her teeth. Jennie's phone rang, she huffed and picked the call up, resting the phone on her lap.

"You won't get far, trust me, Kim."
