Lalisa stomped out of the room, attempting to calm herself down, sighing and counting to ten in her head while closing her eyes. The door behind her swung open, startling her immensely. 'Lalisa! We're sorry for pressuring you - Jisoo thinks you hate her now and thinks it's all her fault!' Chaeyoung cried out, hurling herself at Lalisa and hugging her tightly to which she awkwardly returned. 'Oh - erm. That's fine, Chaeng. Don't worry.' she smiled. The two girls walked back to the room - more literally, Chaeyoung dragging Lalisa to the room - and sat down in their original seats, Jisoo being unusually quiet and Lalisa looking down at her crossed legs, fumbling with her fingers. The three girls sat in a comfortable silence before Chaeyoung  had broken it by sighing and looking up at them, her face worried, her eyebrows furrowed and frowning, 'Is it meant to be this quiet?' Chaeyoung asked, playing with the bedsheets. Lalisa and Jisoo both looked up, equally as confused. 'Should we check?' Jisoo asked quietly, frowning. Lalisa shrugged and looked at the ajar door and into the corridor. 'I don't know, I'll go first.' Chaeyoung replied, sighing and standing up from the bed, dusting off her clothes and cautiously tip-toeing into the seemingly deserted hallway.

'Do you think we should've let her go?' Lalisa asked after a few minutes of silence. Jisoo looked at her and pursed her lips, shrugging as she had previously, 'She's a strong girl, but just make sure there's actually an escape route if something happens.' Jisoo whispered, looking around the room. Lalisa nodded and joined her, scanning the room. Her eyes lighting up as she softly hit Jisoo on the shoulder and pointed to a window, right behind her. Jisoo grinned and moved closer, the grin sliding off her face as she had looked outside. Thumping footsteps came from the corridor, startling them and making them hold each other close, hiding in a corner directly on the left of the window. Chaeyoung came inside the room, sweating and panting. 'G-Go! Th-There's people... here, th-ey have guns!' Chaeyoung harshly whispered to them through pants. They both nodded instantly and stood up, making their way slowly to the window and sliding it open. Violent shouting and screaming came from the bottom floor, making them more alert and almost sending Chaeyoung to tears. 'Come on!' Jisoo whisper-shouted, nodding her head at the open window. Lalisa sighed and closed her eyes, mentally praying as she stepped out into the blistering cold of the night and carefully climbed down the building, hoping that she wouldn't be caught.

'THEY'RE HERE! HURRY!' Jisoo shouted, hurrying down and jumping next to Lalisa, desperately holding onto her as they waited for Chaeyoung. 'CHAEYOUNG, HURRY UP FOR GOD'S SAKE!' Lalisa screamed, her eyes swimming with worry for her older friend. Chaeyoung whimpered from the other side of the windowsill and sat on it, trying to slide her way down when a deafening gunshot was heard, making Lalisa and Jisoo cry out in shock. Chaeyoung's limp body fell down, her skin a deathly pale and a bulletwound in her chest, right where her heart was. Lalisa screamed in devastation, tears swiftly escaping her eyes as she had seen the dead body of her friend fall lifeless onto the grass in front of them. Jisoo looked at Lalisa and sideward-hugged her, tears silently rolling down her cheeks. 'Let's go, I think I saw a place not far from here, and the people are starting to go out of the house.' Jisoo whispered in her ear, waiting for Lalisa's approval. She nodded and was quickly swept away, her hand clutched tightly in Jisoo's, tears falling more rapidly than before, the sight of Chaeyoung's mangled body scarring her mind.

The two girls ran through a patch of forest, right behind the house, panting and trying to keep calm - in Jisoo's point of view, at least. It had happened so quickly, as if it weren't real. She hoped that it was all a dream, and she would be drifting off, back with her real parents, and away from all of this, this life. But no, the harsh reality dug painfully deeper into her heart as she realised she had lost another person, one she had seen as an older sister, and she had witnessed her death, the way her skin paled into a paper-white. It had terrified her, to think that maybe one day, this would happen to Jisoo too, the only thing that she had left. They both came to an abrupt halt, almost knocking Lalisa off her feet, if she hadn't been caught by Jisoo. 'I think we're far enough...' Jisoo whispered, looking behind her wearily and sighing in relief, holding her chest as if she was exhausted. Lalisa sniffed and angrily wiped the tears away from her face, clenching her jaw and letting out a shuddering sigh. Jisoo's eyes flooded with tears as she held Lalisa in a bear hug, the two of them crying their hearts out. One of their sisters had just died, and they had left her there, alone.
