Chapter 1: Grimoire

Akira's POV

"Are you readyyy?" Pisces asked me as his veins was filled with electricity and a lot of excitement.

I was stretching for our daily training competition to see who's the fastest. I went into a stance.

"Ready!" I exclaimed. I activated my magic, I felt electricity coursing through my body, I felt my eyes got zapped a bit but it didn't hurt.

It's my magic. It's part of the process. By now, I'm sure my eyes are red, my neck with the Pisces symbol tattoo.

"3, 2, 1! RUN!!!"

I quickly drifted off, same as Pisces. As we ran, I saw Pisces winking at me as he was in the lead. So, I enhanced my magic, but maybe a little too much.

"SISTER!!! WATCH OUT!!!!" I yelled. The said girl moved out of the way with a yelp. I ran into a cloth and got blinded by it. Eventually, I was stop by the fence, surrounding ¾ of the church. That also resulted me to fell to the ground, face first.

I slowly stood up. "I'm fine!" I said as I gave Sister Lily a thumbs up.

She seems startled but then laughed. "Aki... When are you gonna let go of your recklessness?" She teased as she continued hanging the clothes.

I puffed out triumphantly. "Hoho! Sorry, sister Lily but recklessness is my middle name," I grinned. She shook her head.

Then, I heard a burst of laughter and clapping. I turned my head to see the source of the noise. "HAHAH! AGAIN AGAIN! AKIRA! LET'S DO I-"

"I'll drown you into a pool."

"Fair enough. If you excuse me I have... appoiment wift some... One... Special. Yes,  one special," Pisces baffled.

"Just go, Pi."

"Understood princess."

And just like that, he disappeared with a huge burst of yellow dust.

'I always wonder... What do those taste like... Do they even have flavours?' I thought as my hand went up my chin.

I look over to Sister then realised she was doing laundry. "Ah! Let me help! I must've caused a huge riot!" I said as I rushed beside Sister.

She chuckled. "Even with your recklessness, you still open your arms to people in need." She said calmly, hanging a towel on the wire.

I nervously chuckled. "That's me!" I grinned.

We both had a good laugh when a certain someone came dashing in. Slower than I am of course.

Asta came running to us, sitting on one knee with a red rose on his hands as he was facing Sister Lily. He began talking and talking about marriage and of course, Lily declined. As they were doing whatever it is, I began hanging the clothes. I am planing to save my stamina, to me, Stamina = Mana. And yeah, I used quite a lot on training.

I was just minding my own business when it was my turn for Asta to declare all about love. I turned to him with a lopsided smile.

"I'LL BECOME THE WIZARD KING AND I'LL DECLARE YOU MY QUEEN AND I SWEAR TO MAKE YOU THE HAPPIEST QUEEN OF THE WORLD BY MY SIDE, MARRY ME AKIRAAA-CHAANNNN!!!!!"

I smiled wholeheartedly. "I'm flattered, Asta bu-"

"SO YOU'LL MARRY ME?!" Asta yelled out, enthusiasm all over his voice.

"You're only 15, Asta. And so is Akira." Sister Lily tried to stop Asta's pestering.

"Asta, again. I'm very flattered that you would do all those things for me bu-"
