Chapter 11: 'Zombies'

3rd Person POV

Suddenly, she was pushed or at least she thought, someone just slinged an arm over her shoulder. "Hoooiiiiiii~ R 3924!" A drunk man said as he placed his weight onto the poor girl.

But since Akari is wearing the hood, which was covering half of her face. The guard before was a boy so might as well be a boy while at it.

She cleared her throat. "Heyy...man." She said oddly in a male's tone.

Luckily, the guy was straight up drunk and don't even know what's happening. "Shift done already I see~ come on come on!!! I've been waiting for you the whole dayyyyy~" The man said as he dragged Akari.

They both sat down and the man, whose code was L 3862 ordered two cups of wine. Akari gulped in shock. She never tasted wine before. She didn't even know was it okay to just go with the flow.

L 3862 slide a shot of the wine and forced Akari to cheer as he held her hand. She blushed a bit. As he chugged his own shot, she threw the liquid to the ground and acted as if she drank it.

She awkwardly smiled as she placed her cup down. The man grinned.

"Yo, you know we having new recruits?" He asked, leaning closer. "It's pretty sad though, they were hypnotized by K 2973, again."

Akari's eyes widened when he said 'again'.

"Even some of these are hypnotized!" He exclaimed. He placed his arm on Akari's shoulder then started pointing.

"R2B2," He said which Akari stiffled a laugh. "See that guy over there?" He pointed.

It was a man, wearing a sleeveless hood. He had dark blonde hair, yellow pupils with gray glowing irises with a hint of red in them. His face was stoic and emotionless, as he laughed like a human. This made Akari shock.

"Yeah, that's one of the hypnotized zombies." L 3862 said as he leaned back on the counter of the bar.

"Odd, aye, R2B2?" He cracked a chuckled then turned to the bartender, leaving Akari with her thoughts. "Oye! One bottle of wine!"

'So all I need to spot a hypnotized 'zombie' is find their gray redish weird glowing irises. Oh my that's so weird when you say it out loud..' She thought and immediately shook her head.

"anyways there are three newbies, just in case if ya don't know. And ohhhhhh yeahhhhh, we also hit the jackpot cause we have a royal on our side. Heard the rumours it was a captain's brother or something." The man nudged Akari with his elbow. Her eyes widened.

'Could he be talking about Noah, Noami and Leopold?' She asked herself. She cleared her throat.

"Aye man, I just got off my shift and didn't have a break. I'm just gonna.." She said as she pointed to a random door. The man nodded.

"Go get her, man~ cheering for ya!" He exclaimed.

Akari quickly walk away from the scene. She turned to a corner and looked around, making sure there was no one. She sighed in relief and leaned on the wall.

"Alright.." She muttered and extended her hand out. "Celestial Location Magic: Night Sky Constellation."

On her hand, there was a holographic image over it. There were stars aligned to what it seems to be the base's structure. Then, there were over 30 green stars glowing with 4 grey stars.

She arched a brow. She never saw a white star on her spell before and one was coming close to her. She quickly placed the hood over her head and walked out of the corner. She hung her head low.

Then, someone purposely took a step to the side to bump into Akari's shoulder. She mentally groaned because of that. Luckily, the hood didn't fell.

The stranger turned to face her and it was the hypnotized zombie, that's what L 3862 calls them. He had the same stoic face from before.

"I apologize, M 3973." He said to Akari. She gently shook her head, afraid that the hood would fall.

"No worries.." She mutters lowly and began walking away.

The hypnotized boy looked at her figure until she turns to a corner, disappearing from his sight. He made sure by standing still and looking at the wall for 1 minute.

"Sir." He suddenly called out.

"What now, H 4859?" A voice asked. K 2923's to be exact.

"It seems that one of your loyal subjects forgot their code..." H 4859 said, monotoned.

"WHAT?! IMPOSSIBLE! FIND THEM NOW!!" K 2923 screamed. He nodded.

"Right on it. Mist Magic: Smoke Cloak." He said as he disappeared into smoke.

Akari's POV

I sighed in relief. I took my hand out of my robe. It showed the same constellation before.

I followed the path to the highest place. I gotta start from somewhere. You know what they say, from top to bottom.

I memorize the directions and began walking. I pulled my hood down even more when I saw people passing by me.

I was getting close but I found out that there were even less people around. But then, I was looking around just for 1 SECOND I bumped into a person, or two.

I rubbed my head. "sorry." I said in a low voice.

I look up to see Noah and Leopold dramatically.... turning around to see me.

My smile immediately widened and I pulled my hood down. "Finally! I found you guys! Where were you?! And Noah where's y-"

I was suddenly slammed into the wall by the one and only, "N-N-Noah? W-W-What are y-you..." I stuttered out. Both of his hands were on both sides of my head.

He looked up at me with determined eyes. "Akari-chan. I'm in love with you!" He exclaimed. I blushed in deep red.

"E-Eh?! W-Wha- What?! N-Not now! L-Let's just- eh?!" I yelped when I felt a tug on my wrist. Apparently, Leopold pulled me into a protective hug as my hands landed on his chest.

"No, Akari loves me not you. She's mine." He said. I blushed even deeper.

"W-What's going on with you guys?! T-This i-is clearly not the-" I was interrupted by the two boys.

"Who are you gonna choose Akari?!" They both yelled in unison.

"huh?.." I silently asked.

"WHO ARE YOU GOING TO CHOOSE AKARI?! CHOOSE NOW!" They yelled at me. I took a step back as I felt tears forming.

"I-I..." I felt my breathing getting short and my heart beating faster and faster.

(A/n: Akari doesn't like to be pressure nor stress. Just a bit of stress could give her a panic/stress attack.)

I felt my breath hitched when a hand landed on my shoulder. I looked up to see it was the hypnotized zombie guy. He had a sadistic grin.

"Don't like getting pressured with love I see..." He said. I quickly turned and took a step back, not breaking eye eye contact.
