Author's POV

"Now to the selections... When your number is called, please come forward. Whichever Captain wants the examinee, please raise your hand. However, if multiple captains raises their hands, it's the examinees choice to choose. And like I said before, if no one raises their hands, you have failed the test.

Now then, let's not waste time. Number 1, step forward."

"Number #164, please step up."

Akari went foward and patted Yuno's shoulder. He looked at her as she gave him a warm smile. "Make the right choice, alright?" She said, encouraging and giving hints NOT to go Golden Dawn. He nodded and smiled.

He stepped foward. Immediately all the captain's raises their hands. Everyone in the crowd was baffled.

"Oh my..." Aquarius said. Akari nodded in agreement with wide eyes.

"Please allow me to join Golden Dawn." Yuno said. Welp, guess he didn't.

It was Asta's turn. Akari then went to quickly held his shoulder. He looked at me. "Yes, Ri-chan?" He asked nicely. He always liked to use the nickname he gave for her.

Akari snapped out of her daze and patted his shoulder. "I believe in you.." She said the quote she always says to Asta, it usually lifts up his spirit since it came from someone he likes. He nodded with a smile and a hint of blush and determinedly stepped forward.

After a moment of silence, none raised their hands. But then the Captain of Black Bulls chimed up. He jumped down from balcony. He had some intense mama coming out from him. He went on and on and on and on- actually I'm sure you know what he's talking about. So just gonna put it here.

Akari wasn't really paying attention. She was having second thoughts and doubts.

Of course she's actually very happy for Asta. Yes, she feels like she's being mean not paying attention to Asta's about not being happy for him. But... She kept having these thoughts. She has anxiety.

"Number #166."

That sentence made her heart skipped a beat.

What if I don't make it?

Will I disappoint Asta and Yuno?

And the children of the church?

Will I be a disgrace to Aries and the others?

What if I failed the test?

All these thoughts circling around her like a train. As Yuno was about to walk away, he noticed Akari's quite lifeless form. 'Did she not hear her number?' He thought. He didn't want her not to join the Magic Knights. He thinks that amazing power got out waste, unbelievable.

Yuno went up to her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Akari, it's your turn." Yuno said making the said girl look up at him because boi this boy tall as HECK.

"I-I know but w-what if I don-"

"Prove yourself, Akari. That way, you'll have the courage of doing anything. And not just for us, for everyone back at the church." Yuno encouraged her.
